That quote isn't the main reasoning behind lightspeed right?

Because a quote like that would just be considered hyperbole pretty easily.

It's said by Jota, who's Septima is literally light manipulation. He's also an extremely serious character, and likely wouldn't just randomly say something like that. You know, the mature adult archetype.

He said himself that it's dead, very dead. Essentially because the actual size of lightning itself is too hard to determine, he said that burn marks could potentially make it possible, or hitboxes, but is not sure about it.

Do we just wanna ask INTI on Twitter if Demerzel uses Matter-Energy Conversion and hope for the best?

Lol no, asking developers over this sort of stuff can't be used as you can easily bait them to accept what you want with some fancy wording.
Otherwise tier 1 Demonbane would still be a thing.

What if you don't use fancy wording. Just:

"Does Demerzel use Matter Energy Conversion to create the holographs you fight in the boss rush?"

Bruh

Anyways, we can edit pages now, so I will go and update GV's page like, today, whether the sandbox is complete or not with the images, we can fill them in later.

Done, if anyone can come and fix the portrait's, please do (namely the ASG1 and 3 art)

I also checked the drama CD when Jota and Gibril fight, seems that Gibril and accelerate her shotgun shots to move at light sped

Are we adding the Lightspeed stuff now?

Edit: Since we aren't using the Low 7-B, I'll assume we are.

I really don't think we'll be in tier 9. Really, I think that at that point this nerfing thing is absurd. I'm letting it be 8-A until there's a concrete answer.

The absolute lowest is High End 9-B because the dinkiest EATR shot fires at that power, Asimov busted through a wall without his Septima. I am almost 100% sure that they at LEAST have to be 8-C, after seeing everything they can do from demolishing an entire highway, freezing a city to colder the absolute zero, digitizing buildings, dividing society itself, erasing existences, Nova's Star Dragon and the fact that it's ****** Nova, Zonda... Zonda, and that most tanks are ridiculously advanced compared to our own. A fazent on its own seemed to **** up a building with it's storms of missiles and guns, plasma legion was Teseo and Asroc's trump card, their final pride that they thought nothing could stop, speaking of Asroc, he basically made an entire gundam, Desna screwed over the entire orbital station with her hair, while she didn't destroy it it goes to showcase that he people is likely NOT 9-A, Stella's gravity is ****** up Building 13 which is like the biggest building ever at the time, Asimov is controlling the entire world and it's entire arsenal of tanks, and basically every electronic ever, no one gonna tell me that that's 9-A heck nah b. I really don't think that Adepts are just... 9-A big boys bruh.

Okay, just checked, it seems that it hasn't concluded yet, so I'll go ahead and ask DDM over this.

Regarding this, demolishing an highway needs a calc, it can be as low as 9-B, freezing a city would be invalid because temperature changing, digitizing stuff and erasing is hax, so it can't be used for AP, dividing society isn't even something usable beyond Social Influencing, having advanced technology doesn't matter without feats to measure (It can be as low as 9-B), ruining an orbital station with hair is AoE, she didn't actually destroy it either on a single blow (or at all in that sense for that matter), gravity manip is hax as well, so not usable unless it's used in a way to abuse it's acceleration to land a hit, even then it would need a calc and chances are it wouldn't get past 9-B,

So congrats, you didn't want 9-A, so 9-B actually seems like a possibility if we can't calc Nova's "sun" move and the temperature changing stuff ends up as invalid.

Edit: However, I've got notified by DDM, it seems 8-A will stay for a while as they are currently still valid.

I remember heat revisions being a thing but I'm not sure exactly what they are so temperature change shouldn't be an issue

I'll reiterate from what I found by asking DDM, it seems it didn't get concluded, and even then it seems this verse is safe as Tenjian's 8-A feat will remain usable as it scales directly to his physical capabilities.

Now if it's an outlier... I can see that being the case when no other feat comes close to it.

Not having anti-feats doesn't mean something isn't an outlier. However, I don't see this being an outlier to begin with.

Bruh, I stated a frickton of unquantifiable, yet still impressive feats, I really doubt that a jump from 8-C to 8-A is a big outlier. The entire world got screwed by one adept, that can summon tanks across the planet to achieve human extinction, I don't think freezing a city is all that big of a deal compared to that.

Bob, by your logic, every feat that's a few tiers above the previous one is an outlier. I can get the outlier argument if the feat was Tier 7, but it's literally just a higher level of Tier 8 on a verse filled with casual low-end Tier 8 stuff, there's no reason for this to be an outlier.

I still... really disagree, I don't see why there is a reason it to be an outlier. It's not like its a gap between say, H4-C to 4-A, or 6-A to 5-C. Compared to them, 8-C to 8-A is an astronomically smaller difference.

With that argument, you can say that any tier jump is an "outlier"

Actually, that's the case, if there's nothing supporting this being consistent to scale with, rather than it just suddendly happening power-wise, then it's an outlier.

We are comparing the sort of AP to destroy a building to the sort of AP to decimate a bunch of city blocks, this is only passable if the 8-C feats are casual enought to assume that they aren't using their full power until then, and even then it would be shaky enought to have to keep mentioning the old tier (8-C) somewhere if there's no stuff to further support it.

I am fairly confident that adepts are capable of that kind of destruction. Fazents and tanks can go to at least 8-C, as demonstrated with Copen's intro stage, while most adepts fought in the game are considered bigger threats than that. Ghauri decimated an entire highway, again, still not really usable, but it gives us a good idea of how strong these guys are, and uh, highways are frickin big

Again, going with your logic, that means any tier upgrade, even things from 8-C to 8-B, 6-C to 6-B, 7-C to 7-B, would be an outlier.

Plus, Tenjian is also powered up by a Muse Shard, the same kind of stuff that was basically considered to make an adept invincible when powered up by her (something like that), it's practically the McDuffin of the franchise

y'know what, maybe i should just... calculate every single thing in the GVerse just to get better grounding as to what each and every little thing can do, because I apparently have the time for that.

Well, that you believe that being potentially the case doens't make it usable for our purposes like that, I'm afraid.
In Copen's intro stage, nothing that gets beyond tier 9 really happens, the most you have is an helicopter shooting across windows, which obviously doesn't get past wall level, and some missiles, which are 9-A at most by default.
The highway stuff can really use a calc, without it is dubious at best.
In we are going to base 8-A on Muse Shards, then it would belong on another key, rather than the standard base stats, for the most part at least.

I completely agree with Smashtwig, this logic over what is an "outlier" completely goes against our practices, that prove that no, having these lower feats being on the Tier 8 range show that isn't an outlier. You're free to contact other staff members if you seriously want to see who else buys such difference like 8-C to 8-A is enough to be outlier.

The thing is, the Muse Shard thing scales to the rest of the verse

LAiX Blade is the key here, she got all of her powers from GV1 Gunvolt, and fought a Copen that is comparable to his GV2 self. Given she doesn't have as much experience as GV, and that she has his EXACT power as Gunvolt himself, and by exact, I mean directly taken from his very corpse. At best, she's GV1 level, and can still fight Copen with inferior abilities, even though he's essentially his GV2 self. That means anything that GV2 Copen can do featwise, so can LAiX Copen, who Blade scales to, who Gunvolt from GV1 comes from. There wouldn't need to be a second key specifically for mirror shards

8-A just, it makes sense. Yes, the other feats aren't quantifiable, but considering everything else that has been seen in the verse, is it really that far fetched to consider a person freezing a city an outlier? Not really when an entire highway is completely destroyed, and there's a giant mecha with huge fire beam things flying all over the place. There aren't that many feats to play around with in the verse in the first place due to gameplay getting in the way of making destruction feats happen.

I would still like to hear what @SomebodyData thinks, however.
The highway can be calculated, if it's the one I'm thinking you could even use pixelscaling and just assume the distance that got destroyed (Although I don't think it will give results beyond 8-C without using debatable lenghts), and I'm going to remind that lasers can be as low as 9-B without further details.

I have no idea how to calculate that when the destruction seems to be littered all over, it can range from very little AP to more than we thought

Well, you would assume the distance it could get up to realistically, and also use ang-sizing to find out the depth.
How ironic that even if it's on 3DS the 3D feature can't be used for this stuff.

I'm not a calc person, so I don't know what to do. If you can pull it off, go ahead, I'm not expecting anything impressive.

Uh, Smashor you should probably should reference the Drama CDs for light speed about Gibril's shotgun shots moving at light speed, and Viper too
