Us vs Our Biggest Enemy

Bloodlusted.

Human has 3 years to study the virus and prepare for it. The human may get anything humans have access to, but they aren't allowed to leave the laboratory room for the fight. They are alone, and cannot request help.

The laboratory is unsterilized and has wind. it is about 5 meters by five meters.

After the 3 years are up, the virus is released inside the human. The human isn't allowed to do anything against the virus before it is released, but they can protect their body.

Win only via death/complete eradication of the virus species.

I mean, I guess the human could protect themselves with a Hazmat Suit or something, then just wait for the Virus to die?

"The virus is released inside the human"

I want the human to actually fight the virus, not just avoid or nuke it.

On a serious note: I doubt any ammount of medication or planning can afford a counter for the biological monstrosity that a virus combining all types of virus would turn out to be.

Even something as "simple" as a strain of the flu changing a bit/combining with strains from other species is more than enough to cause a complete disaster in the host.

That's because our immuno-system/antibodies have literally 0 experience in dealing with a virus that has nothing to do with humans but all of a sudden learns to infects us (this happens due to antigenic shifts, and is a very important one among the reasons why diseases such as Avian flu are so much more deadly than your average influenza).

A composite virus would in theory have the tools and abilities of infecting any species a virus can potentially cause an infection in. Plus combine that with all the possible symptons (two viruses can combine and wreck a cell at the same time to produce their copies and the numbers of even your everyday virus can multiply very easily - even in a flu, each of the cells infected can easily produce 10 000 replicas. Give it some time and you have more viruses in your body than we have people on Earth (like, in the trillions)...

It would wreck the composite human. Very. Very. Veeeery badly. I don't want to even imagine such a disease. The moment it is released inside the person is the moment there's nothing to be done.

Unless you can find a human on this planet with the perfect genome, this is a stomp match. ):

Don't underestimate CH, he is very smart, if we had a composite human in the real life, he will probably find cure for all diseases

Human's best hope is to sever whichever part was infected instantaneously before it spreads.

Well I mean

Technically Composite Human involves every human to exist meaning that Charlie Sheen is there so that basically renders STDs useless :^)

Yeah, no.

It doesn't even matter. Our immune system can't possibly deal with something that can infect any species out there as well as us. That's without even mentioning viruses bad habit of changing to nope medication that was even previously confirmed and tested to work on them overtime.

...That's a single virus, mind you.

Why do you think we keep getting something as simple the flu? Because it can "change to whatever type it wants" (in layman's terms) so the medication that worked for one is irrelevant to the other.

This virus would laugh at any type of "cure" we might think about. And worse of all, even if we did have this "wonder cure all elixir that ends all period", chances are our body simply wouldn't survive the side effects, since waaaay less miraculous medicine against some waaaay less deadly viruses already cause a number of adverse effects in the patient's body.

Imagine Pre-Heresy Mortarion when he get embrace by Papa Nurgle Blessing..in less painful way of course.

Virus: Curses!

"I'm different. I have a different constitution, I have a different brain, I have a different heart. I got tiger blood, man. Dying's for fools, Dying's for amateurs." - Charlie Sheen

CH blows itself up, taking the virus down with it, saving the rest of humanity from the omni-virus

(Not a science major btw)

@PTSOXMONKEY99 The sad part is that this scenario legit forces an Inconclusive by both dying at the same time.

So after almost 3 years of frustration and alot of swearing CH decide fug this shit.. proceed to create a bom that will explode exactly when this match is started..

Well I can see him having a plan for the worst case scenario

Can composite virus kill someone who is in hibernation? maybe that way CV will die after some months

I think virus might take this, assuming the CH not kill himself first.

wait, I think this gonna end up where both of them dead regardless.

I mean, realistically, it would have a fail safe should it fail to stop the virus, so it glassing the lab it's in seems like something it would do.

Composite Human studies the virus for like 2 years and a half, realizes how useless its efforts are, and spends the remaining half of the year preparing something that will kill both him and the virus. Inconclusive

If this was science fiction style of hibernation(like on the alien movie) then most likely no.

Pretty sure that this would count as self BFR.

Even then, if it starts in the human, it will just be frozen with it forever.
