"The ladder" instead of "the latter"

I noticed that the are quite a few pages that use the word "ladder" instead of "latter".

To clarify:

• A ladder is something that you, for example, can use to climb up to a roof.

• "The latter" refers to a second mentioned option or person, for example "Mike and Peter both like ice cream, but the former prefers vanilla, and the latter prefers chocolate."

Anyway, I am tired, so I would appreciate help with adjusting the pages that inaccurately use the word ladder to latter instead.
