[Yu-Gi-Oh] I think we should give more details in the "power of the verse" section

Hello everyone, like the title suggests it, I think we should give more precisions to that specific section. For example we should precise that even without their monsters, some duelists (for example millenium item users) have hax.


Also, this is a very small update but in the general page of the verse, there's a section in power of the verse that says "In Yu-Gi-Oh Arc-V, where it is safe to assume that most monsters can do real damage, ranging from a wall level buster, to (last seen) Large Building Level".

Finally, I think it should be precised technology is insanely developped in yu gi oh:

Even in the first serie we have:

- duel disks that can generate realistic holograms for monsters http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Solid_Vision

- Very huge realistic virtual worlds (such as the one Noah trapped Yugi and others or the one Kaiba was trapped in by big five). http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Noah's_Virtual_World

- Devices that can trap your mind in a virtual world, putting you in "coma".

- The possibility to become a digital entity after your body's death (like Noah did: http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Noah)


In Yu Gi Oh 5D's:

- A time travel machine was created ("Infinity"). http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Infinity_(machine)

- Highly intelligent robots that can copy someone's personality and look like the person they copied. They can also fuse between them http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Three_Pure_Nobles


In Yu Gi Oh zexal:

- A device that can simulate environments of parallel worlds in a large sphere (the sphere field). http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Sphere_Field

- A robot (Orbital 7) with time manipulation abilities (he can make time 10 000 times slower (in a quite large area) for anyone but himself, those who have "Numbers" and those who are in contact with him (Kaito most of time). http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Orbital_7

- A ship that can travel through other worlds/dimensions (the different dimension ship). http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Different_Dimension_Airship

- Like mentioned already in the "power of the verse" section, holograms are now solid and can cause real damages. It should also be precised they can create real solid environments during action duels. http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Action_Duel

- Mind control parasites. http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Parasite_Monster

In Yu gi oh vrains:

- Hacking programs that can affect reality in the network (for example: a program to contain someone in a certain zone, or programs to control all of Link Vrains ... some programs are informatic viruses that can even take control of someone's brain) as we saw in episode 8 of yu gi oh vrains (I don't know if I'm allowed to post a link to view the episode though).

Not a bad idea, this would make the verse page alot more detailed too. We should probably add the first 5 series, but not the 6th one yet since it hasn't concluded in which case could have details change over time.

Yeah that makes sense: the 6th serie is too recent (btw: I watched the latest episode and it is revealed someone was able to create an IA with a free will).

BTW, while we're talking about the verse page, I noticed that some of the profiles that were supposed to be deleted never were, (probably due to how busy I was and it seems none of the other staff helped), but here are some that are staying:

- Blue-Eyes

- The Egyptian Gods and their fusion (Though we will have to remove the second key of Obelisk since it is game mechanics)

- Yubel

- All the protagonists.

- Number 100

- Marik

- Star Eater (Not really that notable but eh)

- Number 107

- Worm Zero, Bakura, just needs some editing

- Jack / Yusei

- Zarc

- Zorc

- Maruding Captain, Spiral Serpent.

I'm telling you this because it is something quite major, and that we need to also make a note on the verse page on how to avoid the problems that the other profiles had from happening again.

Yeah I agree: this is really impressive in terms of intelligence (but we don't know that man's name yet).

What are profiles who will be deleted? Also, will Yubel stay tier 5 - B by herself if she defeated Exodia while weakened and while she was in a human's body?

She will be "At least 5-B normally (Essentially the same in that regard), Likely 5-A with Super Polymerization"

Additionally, "At least Multi-Solar System range with Super Polymerization, likely significantly higher."

Ah also now that I think about it, one of the robot I mentioned (in the 5D's section) has a sword that can create dimensional portals.

That said, I do support it, however, recently we've changed acausality to a different term, the ability they're showing is called "Time Paradox Resistance"

Oh yeah I noticed you used a new term when I came on Goku black's profile recently. Ah also Yusei and other signers showed resistance to soul manipulation thanks to the Crimson dragon's protection (they can also protect those who are physically near them).

With all that looks like there's gonna be a lots of change for Yu gi oh soon.

Time paradox resistance is "inferior" to acausality right? I mean it offers less protection.

one question: do you think Placido's (Primo in 4kids' version) sword is a technology that can be added to the "power of the verse" section in Yu Gi Oh?

Ye, I'm also thinking of adding duel terminal monsters, but I need to get more detailed versions of the plot to actually get feats.

Sadly yes, but still effective against time travelers.

That's a good idea. I don't really know the plot but I know some monsters have incredible feats. All I know about duel terminal monsters ... I know it thanks to vs battle wikia. Before I didn't know monsters like Sophia were universal +.

Ah Sophia... Is actually unknown tier wise (hence why i had to delete her), someone put that she was gonna end the universe but the entire storyline is a massive mess, (due to not being even relatively known in Japan, much less outside).

Hmm I see, in that version, it seems to say only the world was in danger, still its not as detailed as I would want it to be, but I'll probably find details somewhere.

One question: what happened to number 9? Since he is bigger than the sun it should make him high 4 - C right?

(with what I said about real damage done by monsters in arc V (with (most likely him since he is the strongest ancient gear monster) anciant gear chaos giant who performed a multi city block feat), what I said about some duelists having powers without their cards and what i said about technology).

It's mainly due to the fact I gave too mainly details for tetchnology (I putted everything the way I did in this thread with detaisl for each gen) and wasn't concise at all.
