So out of complete boredom I was going through the Marvel Comic characters and checked out Electro and noticed he was still listed as Wall level physically and Unknown via lightning manipulation. Since Green Goblin and Vulture were upgraded to Small Town level due to being comparable to Spider-Man I thought logically Electro should too. However, I wasn't too certain so I looked up a respect thread for him (Earth-616 version of course, what other one?) and found out some interesting feats below that I want opinions on, the rest is on the full respect thread:

Knocked out Base Daredevil with ease

Nearly touching him will kill a normal human and his aura nearly killed Spidey

Burns through a rubber glove with just his aura and blasts back Spider-Ma

Can absorb electricity from anything

Seemingly absorbed energy or microwaves from Firestar then proceeds to take her and Gravity out

He can travel inside of electrical objects and then reappear outside of them

He can travel on any current

Could control complex machinery with his electricity

Broke free of metal controlled by Magneto (Outlier)

Can destroy concrete and metal instantly and with ease via his electricity

Can turn people into statues via a electromagnetic storm

Causes a blackout, creates an electrical storm

His electricity field was able to deflect a punch from Spidey

Can create an electric shield that blocks rubble

Dodges and deflects objects thrown by Spidey

Knocks the Thing back hard enough to break the concrete behind him, blocks flames from the Human Torch, and takes down the Human Torch (Outlier)

Rips open a road and sends cars flying

Shrugs off a punch from Spidey ; agai; and agai; and once more

Took down Vulture by accident

One shot Black Cat

Brings down Spider-Man to a near unconscious state in a single hit

When supercharged he vaporized water and could attack the brain with electricity

Also brought down an entire building while supercharged

Easily handles the Sandman, Wizard, and Trapster

Either travel on bolts of lightning or turn into one, either way, it shows some control. Also, being in the rain doesn't faze him

Easily blocks bullets

Reacts to Spider-Man leaping I guess

He's able to tag Spider-Ma

Also tagged Daredevil

Tagged Quicksilver with his electricity (Outlier)

And most importantly, he can use his electric currents like stilts!

More feats on the Full Respect Thread

Most of these feats should upgrade his destructive capability and durability to at least Small Town level and his speed to at least Massively Hypersonic.

And while we're on the topic of Spider-Man villians, should any other Spider-Man villians be upgraded to Small Town level that aren't already (e.g. Mr. Sinister)?

He should be "At least Small Town level" or "Small Town level" with Small Town durability. Stuff like taking down the Thing and Torch are outliers, as is breaking out of Magneto metal.

Vulture is not nearly on a level with Spider-Man, and Spider-Man himself is currently scaled from a calculation that is not accepted. He should preferably be restored to High 8-C, as this is his highest known legitimate feat.

Electro is established as far more powerful than Spider-Man in terms of raw power, but we need some feats to calculate and scale from. Maybe from the Spider-Man/X-Man (no, not X-Men in this case) crossover, as Electro had some high feats there?

I agree with Ant, through we have to downgrade some Low 7-C marvel profiles.

Yes. I can revert Spider-Man, but need help with the others.

Yes, but this downgrades applies to all the Low 7-C marvel characters or only the spiderman characters?.

To all of the Marvel characters scaled from Spider-Man.

I will try to fix the Spider-Man page now, but it might take a little while.

Why exactly is there a problem again? I definitely remember more yeses than nos, and the fact that the OBD accepted it was the icing on the cake.

Because LordXcano completely logically dismantled the feat, as far as I remember.

From what i recall his argument was countered so he dropped it and instead started focusing on speed feats...

Here is the thread. I extremely strongly disagree with a Low 7-C Spider-Man based on a very suspicious feat:

https://vsbattles.com/vsbattles/702953

I have also found several instances of dodging Electro's lightning from a close distance, that LordXcano will calculate, so we get a better Massively Hypersonic speed feat as well.

I have also asked LordXcano to come here and talk this over, but I still think that the upgrades were imposed despite the logical arguments against them within the thread.

I think Matthew Schroeder should be called over since he's the one who made the thread for the upgrade. He did bring up some feats like the Hulk feat, hurting Luke Cage who survived a small nuclear explosion, surviving a nuke, and so on. But these can probably be dismissed as outliers.

Well, maybe we should wait with discussing the issue until LordXcano has had the time to write a proper separate thread about it.

I mean, this topic was originally about finding the highest feats for Electro. We should probably focus on that instead.

Well, I originally put him at Small Town, but I didn't realise that he's not only Wall level and Supersonic+ in the guide, but every time he fights Spiderman he gets blitzed and stomped at close range. He's mainly a threat to Spider-Man due to long range attacks and overwhelming ATTACK speed. So I think we should leave it as it is.

Or, I think we should just change it to At least Small Town likely higher via lightning manipulation.

Well, we do legitimately need to determine the attack potency of his full energy output. Hasn't he drained entire large cities or somesuch at times?

Or, we can use the Master Guide where it has different statistics for unenhanced and charged Electro.

AP- Wall level (unenhaced) | Small Town level (charged)

Speed- Supersonic+ (unenhanced) | Massively Hypersonic (charged)

The Master Edition entry strongly contradicts all of his statistics from other handbook, and does not make any sense.

According to it he has "metahuman" speed, stamina, durability, and agility. That would mean that he is as agile as Mister Fantastic, as durable as Thor, and as tireless as the Hulk, whereas metahuman speed isn't even a statistic. Whoever wrote the profile must have been drunk.

It is probably safer to go by the 1985 Deluxe edition and his latest entry instead.

Fair point. I guess Wall level physically, Small Town or higher via lightning is fine if that's okay with you.

Though I thought we only used the guides for AP and speed as the other stats make no sense.

Well, I would rather get a calculation for a high-level feat, such as draining all of New York of electricity or somesuch.

I suppose so, but Spider-Man's rating is likely very exaggerated.

I have no doubt that Electro legitimately qualifies for at least that kind of rating though.

Hurting Luke Cage doesn't actually mean much. Luke's ski is super durable, but his insides are not nearly as much. This is why he can essentially no-sell bullets but they still cause him physical pai. It's entirely possible to beat Cage in combat without ever actually damaging his skin.

Regardless, the explosion Cage survived nearly killed him and was considered to be way out of his normal range even in-universe. I don't think Spidey has ever done comparable damage to that.

As for the calc, the main problem is that it assumes that Hulk could hold the other ball for 0 more seconds when there's nothing to indicate that. We can see how much time passed by measuring the distance to the ball Hulk hit and then figuring out how long it'd take to cross that at escape velocity.

As for scaling Electro to Spidey, I'd suppose that's fine, given how often he's shown as a severe threat.

Perhaps you could start a new thread about the Low 7-C Spider-Man scaling, and mention that I also find the feat extremely suspicious?

I could also redo the feat and then get the calc checked over, which would probably be a lot faster

Well, there are lower ends of the feat that result in 8 Tons (Large Building) and 35 Tons (City Block). Perhaps those are more reasonable?

I don't necessarily see any issues with the Spider-Man feat, as it was accepted on the OBD by Endless Mike.

Similarly, Electro should probably be ranked at High 7-C. He can cause thunderstorms.
