To resume it:

After the events of Vol. 5, Kazuma put every points Megumin was saving into her Explosion, resulting in a heartwarming moment and so on. Now in Vol 6, chapter 3 part 2, here's the result:

<<Megumin's voice rang out across the mountain range near the capital.

"Explooooosio!!"

This was about what I expected!

When Megumi asked me on that date, I set about looking for somewhere outside the capital she could let off an explsoion.

"Look!" Megumi exclaimed. "Did you see that? What an explosion! The power! The are of effect! Another brillant display!"

"Uh-huh, great stuff. Ow! Hey, keep it under control---------I can't give you a piggyback ride with you trashing around like that

"Reprimand me if you must, but I just reduced a moutain to pebbles!"

Ever since we had gotten back from Crimson Magic Village, Megumin's passion for her explosion magic has gotten even more intense. Now that I had dumped all the skill points she'd been saving into strengthening Explosion, her blasts has gotten powerful enough to present a genuine threat to humankind.>>

So, not only Kazuma considers her Explosion has a real threat compared to the one before, but Megumin also one-shotted a whole mountain, which is 7-A. In addition, later statements are kinda implied to be of the same scale, and the previous Explosion in vol.5 (which is weaker than this one) was enough to charge a weapon who exploded part of a mountain.

Note that this should only scale to Megumin herself and no one else, since they are already way weaker than her previous explosions.

Obviously, her vol 9 key should disappear, since the feat is lower than others shown before, including this one.

no.

Destroying a mountain of unknown size is not a 7-A feat.

You need to first find the size of the mountain, then calc the size of the part which she blew up, then calc the force of the explosion and if it fits the criteria for 7-A then it is a correct feat.

I read the novel and i don't think there is a way for us to determine the size so the feat ain't gonna work out.

"Explosion!!"

A large explosion blossomed over the rocky mountains not too far from Axel.

When the shockwave and dust cloud subsided, only a large crater remained.

/\ She vaporized entire mountains with her current Explosion.

And by the time of V1 of the LN/Season 1 of the anime:

"There, a very young girl fired off a ridiculous explosion with magic. While I thought that a small-scale nuclear explosion occurred because of its absurd firepower, the other adventurers barely reacted, almost as if this was an everyday occurrence."

/\ The words of a soldier from Earth in Combatants Will be Dispatched so there's not denying that back then Megumin's Explosion was already at nuke level, even it it was a small nuke, considering how many times she upgraded it, and we have her vapororizing, in the plural, mountains, isn't it 7-A? Her current Explosion is many times bigger than her Explosion from season 1, someone can just make the calcs to how much stronger it became.

Also, how about calcs of the final Explosion of V5/the movie? It was clearly way above 7-A and she wasn't near as strong as her current version.

@Arceus0x
Pretty sure there is a standard mountain volume for these type of statements.

@FrenzyUND

Was going to reply to the other thread but I'll do so in this.

1. Megumin did not pulverize or vaporize a mountains in the short story. She later points to such a mountain. As for the statement of 'what remained', that was for the complete annihilation of the Kobolds.

2. That 'nuclear' quote of yours is from a crossover. Also Megumin's volume 1/season 1 explosion is nowhere near a nuke. Well, after taking in the fact that she left a 20 meter crater.

@YuriAkuto

After FrenzyUND says his piece, you should get this thread closed to be reopened after the move.

AFAIK High School DxD got 7-A based on the same thing, destroying a mountain without size but I could be wrong

there was a statement of the mountain being a large one and there is a statement that it was completley gone. there should be a calc somewhere.

The movie is considered as non-canon.

Also it was kinda agreed that first we needed to see which translation would be used and all, after forum move.

If this is from Konosuba then she is at least Island Level.
