A proposed edit to the SCP Foundation page

Also, please take into account that due to the fact that the SCP Foundation has no solid canon, but a "fluid" canon which is subject to different interpretations and headcanons by various members, and Tales are essentially a sort of psuedo-fanfiction, it is best if a Tale was written by the original author of the SCP/is considered an integral part of the "mythos" related to the SCP before you use it to index powers. SCPs are bound by a similar restriction; references to SCPs in other SCPs should be treated the same way as Tales in the more notable cases. For example, according to one SCP the entire Foundation is just the imagination of a girl with psychological problems, whereas most other pages on the site treat it as a real entity.

Do you think the above would a reasonable addition to the page?

Probably, yes. Attempting to link and scale all SCP pages would be tantamount to scaling all Marvel and DC stories by different authors to each other, as many SCPs are portrayed drastically differently in multiple stories.

Wait, if SCP is just head canon and can be edited by anyone, why do we have it? It's not an official franchise. Didn't we get rid of Crepypasta and 8 bit Theater for similar reasons?

I agree with Azzy and Weekly. Kind of like Marvel and even DC, scaling SCP's to each other (if that's possible to do so, right?) would be a mess here.

Probably best for something like characters' individual feats are strictly what's used. For instance, 682 would get all the feats it has in notable stories and logs about it, but would not scale to other SCPs in said stories that are normally drastically above its level, unless they are shown to be of that level in said story/log.

This. While it is a group project, it is not simply something you can throw anything into and call it canon. Things that aren't up to snuff or go so far against constructed lore that it isn't even funny are promptly deleted when discovered.

That said, it is still a loosely connected group project, hence why scaling rules would be necessary, though the franchise is perfectly acceptable.

I'll take a look through to see if any of them are scaled to each other but I think I removed any that are scaled to each other besides 682 speed scaling to 096 through his adaptability

A bunch of people are like Wall level from scaling to 682 for some reasons.

But yeah I agree with these

Ooooh i see what you were trying to do, yeah that should be ok to add to the powerscaling rules section.
