Battle for the 2nd strongest 9-B non-smurf (Yuichi Sakaki vs Jord)

Since the concept is a part of the plot I would expect Yuichi's power to supersede Jord's.

Also, Yuichi's massive range advantage exists, so I don't see any chance for Jord.

You can say the concept is part of the plot, but the rules upon which plot manip works would be determined by concepts. Both are abstract stuff.

As for range: That seems more like the AoE of his plot manip, so I don't think he actually outranges with ranged attacks. Even if he did Jords passive betrayed expectations concept negates the attacks anyway.

My point about range wasn't that he can attack from outside it, but that his passive plot manip will be in affect from a higher range than Jord's concept manip. So he would end up nullifying the power before being affected by it. Also, it seems that his plot manip has no intent or expectation behind it, as he isn't aware of it.

Higher range won't enable it to negate Jords concept, though? Like, there is just no connection between range and the ability to negate an ability here. It's not like Jord needs him to be in range of her concept, in order to negate anything that he would throw at her the moment it starts taking effect.

In my understanding his plot manip literally comes from his worldview that is that there is always a way for him to win and that if there is such a way he will win. That sounds like he has the expectation to win for me. The expectation is all that matters, he doesn't need to know all the details of what he causes.

And then there is what would happen if that plot manip gets reversed into its opposite...

This is very interesting....

Yuichi encounters Jord, Jord's ability says all attacks that Yuichi expects to hit or cause damage to him are nullified.

Yuichi ability says them encountering each other, means Yuichi's ability absorbs and fuses with Jord's worldview, and Jord is obviously superhuman which goes against the human centric world.

The Ideas/concepts for supernatural/superhuman things all come from the human centric world, ie a ghost doesn't just come out of nowhere, humans conceptualized it, while Yuichi's ability doesn't deny the existence of such things, his world view is greater cause he is the human centric world's protag, and in his worldview there will always be a chance for him to win.

Which ability is superior though...

Jord's concepts are Type 2, so not idea based. Just in case that wasn't clear.
