Byleth vs Zelgius

Sword of Creator should count as a blessed weapon.

Byleth: 1

Zelgius: 0

Just to make sure that this is not a "FRA" thread:

Arguments for Byleth:

>Self healing + Divine Pulse + More range with SotC than Alondite.

Arguments for Zelgius:

>Passive healing + oneshoting skill (Eclipse) + arguably more skilled (older and more experienced).

Byleth stuff that Zelgius lolnopes: Flame Crest via Nihil, Offensive magic and other weapons via blessed armor.

The range can be countered with Teleportation, just saying.

Ok, at first i thought this match would be redundant due to Byleth's victory against Ike, but the Burger King's armor actually gives him advantages that Ike lacks, most notably the no u to Byleth's magic meaning they can't drain BK's health. Combined with the experience, 3 ways to heal and a slight AP advantage even when ignoring Eclipse (as small as it is, it's still an advantage), this will be troublesome for Byleth to get around even while basically getting 13 attempts. So for now i'll vote Burger King mid-high diff.

I'm going to vote for Byleth for now because of his Divine Pulse, 13 attempts is still a huge advantage. One of the reasons is because for every time Byleth dies, he regains more information about his opponents while Zelgius doesn't.

First, he gets the information his crest and magic aren't going to be useful, later the fact Zelgius can teleport himself, and then, he got hit by Eclipse. Byleth at best would need 3 attempts to know everything important in Black Knight's arsenal.

Nihil is a great tool for BK, but considering how FE works in respect to skills, Batallions and Gambits are different to skills and their effects activates after combat, which would work against Nihil. Looking at Nihil description: "Negates enemy's battle skills." This would mean that Zelgius mobility and combat abilities are going to be decreased, and giving Byleth an edge in terms of AP, Spd and Durability if he uses his Sword of the Creator.

In summary, Byleth would turn the AP advantage in his favor as well as giving him a stats, mobility, range and stamina advantage as well as Divine Pulse. While Zelgius would have Eclipse, counter Byleth's other weapons and magic with his armor and his skill and experience.

Battallions are obviously not considered in this match as they are outside help.

Byleth FRA
Just so we are clear, you are voting for Byleth not because of Battallions, right?

Gotta go with Byleth fra. Zelgius's only real way to win is land consistent Eclipses against someone with 13 rewinds. Byleth probably has the skill advantage anyway due to better feats, so he could find a way around Eclipse and the Armor. in 13 rewinds

BK: 1

Byleth: 3 (cuz Puas' vote is heavily reliant on Battallions Im not counting it, sorry).

@00potato remember that Zelgius continously heals himself thanks to his abilities, so outlasting Byleth is an option for him.

No, because of Divine Pulse and revising tactics among other things. He's on his own, no battalions.

He would more likely be disarmed before he could outlast Byleth anyway, they are a great tactician and it is unlikely that it wouldn't be an option in a drawn out encounter.
