The Legend of Zelda: Triforce of Revisions

Yay, another semi-large Zelda Revision thread (made with Cal's help btw, thanks man), HERE WE GO

So I've been making a blog on DA to get the verse buffed to the people that still think Zelda tops out at High 6-B, and I came across the Hyrule Historia. Looking through it gave me some interesting insights on things, and it's high time that I shared them.

Part 1: The Triforce

Who woulda thunk that the NES Zelda would be one to upgrade the verse? Anyway, we all know the story of how Zelda split the pieces of the Triforce and that Link used it to defeat Ganon. However, the Triforce of Wisdom is still given an Unknow rating. I'm here to change that.

https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/652960380464922624/653067086507016208/unknown.png

According to the Historia, "Using the power of the Triforce of Wisdom, Link crushed the Demon King and saved Princess Zelda". This should justify the removal of the Unknown rating, and it should simply be "At least 5-A, likely High 4-C" for being able to destroy Ganon.

Incidentally, Silver Arrows are never mentioned in the Hyrule Historia once, and it only says that Link used the Triforce to destroy Ganon. We can see from the picture that the triforce is using a blast of light. To this end, I propose that the Triforce of Wisdom is given the following abilities:

Light Manipulation (Capable of unleashing a blast of light), Regenerationn Negation (Up to Low-Godly, capable of destroying Ganon and negating his Regenerationn much like the Silver Arrows)

Part 2: The Sacred Realm

So it's listed on the Triforce's page that its existence sustains the Sacred Realm, and warped it into darkness. However, this is partially untrue. While yes, the Triforce turned the realm into the Dark World, it's actually Ganon whose power sustains it.

https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/652960380464922624/653069716482555906/unknown.png

Here we can see that Link didn't use the Triforce to re-warp the world. He wished for peace to return to it, involving the resurrection of the King and his uncle. It's specifically mentioned that the Dark World returned to the Sacred Realm because Ganon himself was no longer sustaining it.

To this end, this should be added to Ganondorf's profile.

Part 3: The Moon Pearl

https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/652960380464922624/653089256566423554/unknown.png

The Moon Pearl is stated to repel magic. It's just just resistance to Transmutation, so Link should have Resistance to Magic without the Triforce of Courage.

That's about it for now. Discuss.

Part 1:

Have you played Zelda 1? You need to use the Silver Arrows to finish off Ganon - not the Triforce, the Silver Arrows. You can't beat Ganon without them.

Just because a guide states other means nothing if the guide contradicts the source material.

Part 2:

Stating that Link's wish was for "peace to return to the world" makes no sense when you consider the fact what the wish did - it brought people back to life, like Link's uncle. Which implies that it wasn't the wish that Link made, as "returning peace to the world" doesn't have anything to do with bringing people back from the dead. And also, the Dark World became the Light World after Link made his wish, not when Ganondorf died.

Part 3:

If the Moon Pearl resists magic in general - then why do spells from other creatures (far weaker than Ganondorf mind you) affect Link? That makes no sense, unless it only resists Transmutation as shown in the game

The "guide", as you so put it, is the official lore to the series. It's more up-to-date than the NES and SNES games. Ultimately, it's more important. We literally use this on a regular basis for the series.

And yes, for your information, I have played and beaten it multiple times.

All guides are "lore", usually official. Just because it come to be years after the games were released, does not mean it takes precedent over the game.

Guides are inherently secondary information - if they contradict the primary information (in this case - the games), then they aren't used.

That's how that works.

I will comment on the stuff OP said later but I want to point out that moon pearls actually do resist to magic not just transmutation since once Ganon warp the sacred realm you just don't get transmutated but also your life force drained (soul) drained on you and other numbers of curses too.

The reason why weaker enemies affect you is clearly game mechanics and there's no denying it, hell the master sword is shown to resist and counter/nullify magic but link still gets damage, despite the fact that we have multiple showings of the MS outside and inside of cutscenes and Gameplay outright negating curses and nullifying other types of spells.

Moon pearl in lore and dialogs actually does nullify magic its just balanced out by Gameplay mechanics to not make Link too overpowered.

The same reason why the ToP grants low-Godly via in lore statements and cutscenes but not while playing since link would be just broken.

Whats the point of making damage and health if you literally can't be killed or hurt?

What soul drain or other curses are you talking about?

And the Master Sword dispels magic when it cuts somethings made of magic, look at Link in Wind Waker destroying the barrier in front of Ganon's castle as proof of that, it doesn't create a forcefield around Link that nullfies magic. If Link is getting hurt or affected by magic, then he isn't cutting said magic with the Master Sword, he just got hit by it.

So that logic doesn't make sense.

Uhh, wut

The Master Sword literally broke link's curse in Twilight Princess

Uh dude you are extremely wrong like ZephyrosOmega said just touching the master sword removed Link's curse it has nothing to do with cutting in wind waker link just had to physically attack plus the barrier wasnt harming link so your example is wrong.

Also the the dark world is cursed because of Gannon that's how people gets passively transmutated and their life force sucked out of their bodies that how they literally die.

Soul Manipualtion, Transmutation, Madness Manipulation, all passives. I mean if you want to argue that moon parl only stops the transmutation then you could say link resists soul and madness on his own

For the first part, Link uses both the silver arrows and triforce of wisdom, both are needed in order to even fight and beat Ganon. The triforce of wisdom allos him to harm Ganon, while the silver arrow kills him for good. So Triforce of Wisdom should scale to Triforce of Power, same with Triforce of Courage. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O33Xybjegtc ^You literally see Link lift of the triforce of wisdom and Ganon reacting to that

I don't even get part 2, it's so nitpicky. The two people he revived returns peace to himself, and to the kingdom of hyrule, so they were essential to Link's own peace and the peace of Hyrule.

Part 3, there's monsters there that can still transmutate Link despite the magic pearl directly resisting transmutation, so them being able to affect him with other magic is not farfetched.

Actually, on that note, Link's Silver Arrows should have deconstruction via reducing Ganon to dust from... yknow, an arrow stab
