Strongest One Punch General Discussion Thread v8

New chapter comes out tomorrow apperently, which is also nice.

I mean, what's the point with calcing it? It's not going to be better than serious punch or moon jump and no one scales to the meteor.

I'm wondering what the potency of these tiny rocks being hurled by an explosion of that size would be.

Either way, Its mostly just curiosity. Its pretty obvious Saitama wouldn't gain anything from it.

I got 127.42 kms as the radius of the explosion, applying the formula (R = Y^(1/3)*0.28) it got 94.24 gigatons. The perspective of the panel seems fine enough to scale the size of the explosion to Earth itself. I don't really see a need to put this in a blog post and get it evaluated since it's just a quick and trivial calc, but i might if you want to.

Part 2 then: How much power would These tiny rocks possess being hurled by an explosion worth 94 Gigatons?

I think that'd be calc stacking, i'm not sure. But in case it's not, we'd probably have to know the number of rocks, and i don't think that's possible.

Well I did the thing. Assuming spheres.

  • 28.329 cm = 11903.984577135 cm^3 = 19.07 kg
  • 31.87 cm = 16949.028608089 cm^3 = 27.152 kg
  • 23.017 cm = 6384.762917727 cm^3 = 10.228 kg
  • 51.346 cm = 70879.14526348 cm^3 = 113.548 kg
  • 30.099 cm = 14277.587263163 cm^3 = 22.872 kg
  • 14.164 cm = 1487.8405008672 cm^3 = 2.383 kg
  • 17.7 cm = 2903.4772092073 cm^3 = 4.651 kg
  • 14.164 cm = 1487.8405008672 cm^3 = 2.383 kg
  • 12.394 cm = 996.85753915747 cm^3 = 1.596 kg
  • 19.4763 cm = 3868.2807704184 cm^3 = 6.196 kg
  • 24.788 cm = 7974.8603132597 cm^3 = 12.775 kg
  • 23.017 cm = 6384.762917727 cm^3 = 10.228 kg
Total kg = 233.082 kg. Using the same calculator

  • LE = 1.011E+18 joules (7-A)
  • ME = 1.908E+18 joules (7-A)
  • HE = 3.240E+18 joules (7-A+)

Do you mind putting this into a blog post or do you want me to do it?

Yeah, Flashy Flash was being cocky. The same man keeps thinking Saitama is weaker then him.

I mean, Saitama is a B-Class. It's fine for him to think he's above Saitama, it's not a sign of cockiness.

What, exactly? Dodge one of his slashes? He even congratulated his miraculous reflexes, he wasn't cocky.

Oh. I was refering to before that. Not sure about after that, i don't recall OPM perfecty, specially the webcomic

Flash is clearly in denial when it comes to Saitama.
Being in denial is different from being cocky. It's alright to be at disbelief a Class-B is stronger than a top tier Class-S.

It shouldn't be, its part of the exact same feat.

Just calc the potency of one rock.
You can't, since the rocks came after Saitama struck the meteor and weakened its overall power. Considering the same rocks left City Z still standing they're 100% not island level or mountain level.

I'm not using the Meteor's KE to get the KE of each pebble, I'm using this explosio to do that. According to KGiffoni that explosion is about 94 Gigatons. My inquiry is on what the KE of those Pebbles would be being flung by an explosion worth 94 Gigatons.

would tats get an upgrade for damaging boros ship as well?
No, since that's in the much higher Pentaton range

That's where the issue comes from

  • The explosion was from Saitama not the meteor, which only has High 7-A KE
  • The scene itself doesn't make much sense considering the meteor was close to the ground by the time it was intercepted
  • The rock fragments produce much smaller explosions with buildings surviving impacts and people a couple hundred feet away being unharmed by impacts

Quangotjokes

Tats never damaged Boros' ship, the splash damage is merely the bullets exploding on contact. There's absolutely no damage on the bottom of the ship until Boros's CS;RC destroys it.
