Okay, so wolves are known for taking out the sick and dying, right? What if it was faced with a restless corpse, i.e. an original zombie from Haitian folklore? This is gonna be out of the way, so...

1. This is an average-sized wolf vs a 9-C zombie. Zombie battled is a flesh zombie

2. The zombie's bokor is present but hiding.

3. Speed is equalized.

Good point. It can incapacitate a zombie at least.
 
Also when wolf realizes it's not dying it would proceed to just rip it to shreds to make sure.

This is a flesh zombie. Zombie astrals are the ones with non-corporeality.
