Fairly sure Kezef could infinite speed slap GK on his own, but might as well establish Sertrous as a contender for High 6-B. Speed is equalized, fight takes place on a planet with 3-A durability for whatever reason. Sertrous has prep time so he can even get in his High 6-B key.

Who wins and why?

Golden King:

Sertrous:

Inconclusive:

Mid-Godly regen and madness hax based on people seeing him.

Mid-Godly means that the gaze wouldn't kill him, but can he act while atomized ?

Also, Golden King resists Mind hax, but i know D&D has scaling chains, so i quite iffy if it would be enought

does the Madness hax kill BTW ?,

Actually, yes. Sertrous can function through pure and simple consciousness, for most of the campaign against him he's just a spirit generally possessing his people. And, to be perfectly clear, Sertrous can do quite a few things in the meantime. For example.

  • The visitation of a Demon Lord to an alternate plane of existence (different universe) causes that plane to be absorbed into the Abyss. So while not really BFR, since he just puts another universe in an otherwise infinite multiverse, it does mean a lot scarier creatures can now attack GK.
  • Sertrous and other Demons can affect the laws of reality to achieve particular effects. Basic demons do this to manually spawn in and upgrade demons, but Sertrous can just outright do whatever he pleases. See also Concept Manip.
  • Madness won't kill, but it will do something particularly bad for GK. Sertrous' ability is described under Form of Madness as characters developing a permanent and overwhelming fear of snakes and slithering things, causing them to be distracted- as in, not constantly look at Sertrous. This will leave GK paralyzed with fear each time he sees something that fits this criteria and Sertrous passively summons fucktons of snakes and crawling things.

'The visitation of a demon lord to the Material Plane is a cataclysmic event. The lord's presence overwhelms the minds of other beings to keep them from resisting, and the lord's power enables it to command the other demons already present in the world. They form a horrid army that sets about stripping the world of life and clearing the path for the lord's dominance. At this point, a besieged world's only hope for survival is the expulsion of the demon lord. The lord's defeat leaves the other demons again leaderless, and they react by warring against each other, which makes them susceptible to attacks from the world's defenders. The longer a demon lord remains in control of all the other fiends, the more the world around it becomes irrevocably changed. When a demonic incursion runs its course, no vestige remains of the world that existed before--in effect, the realm has become another layer of the Abyss.

Basically if the match continues on too long the universe is slowly dragged to the Abyss.

I am pretty sure GK can atomize souls and minds, so Sertrous being able to fuction through pure and simple consciousness wouldn't help

also, the fear of snake wouldn't proc, as the snakes spawned would be istantly atomized

and even if it activated, the Gaze of the Rose is a passive, everything the King sees gets haxed

another thing, wouldn't Abyss creatures coming to help Sertrous be outside help ?

It would when Mid-Godly keeps those things in-tact.

True! But that doesn't matter. He would be distracted/paralyzed, was the point.

He wouldn't see Sertrous if he was distracted and paralyzed looking one way.

No. Passive summoning. It's more like anything that falls under the concept of "Crawling Thing" will feel the urge to attack and act for Sertrous.

I make this match to bring up these points.

1. GK can't kill Sertrous, Sertrous can kill GK.

2. Sertrous doesn't have to act from a physical form and can eventually just drag the universe into the Abyss.

3. Eventually GK won't even look at Sertrous- this doesn't matter when Sertrous can win even while he is looking, but GK being dissuaded from peering at the snake means that eventually Sertrous can simply beat him to death.

Above baseline, basically same with other D&D creatures on the level of Demon Lords they can't be affected/killed by those below them, thus forming a pretty rigid scaling chain. Sertrous comes out well above typical nameless Demon Lords of the Abyss and even several named ones like Zuggtmoy and Jubilex, but below guys like Orcus.

I'll keep it open for a bit to see if anyone has anything else to say.
