Beerus being 3/4 the speed of Whis

IIRC, Whis had another speed feat that was only in the Billions or Trillions; and I think it might have been this one that was in that range. Beerus should only directly scale from that particular speed feat rather than Whis' best speed feat. And that speed feat would also scale to their casual combat speed feats for sure.

I don't have an opinion on the matter since I'm not a huge DB fan, but I just want to comment on the math of this.

If he arrived in 3/4 the time it took Whis, Beerus would be 1.3x faster than Whis

Actualy Beerus only scales to 3/4 of the feat, so he's 75% of Whis speed, it doesn't make sense for him to be faster then Whis
Exactly

If he's 75% of Whis' speed, than he would have arrived in 1.3x the time.

The point was this isn't quite Whis' best speed feat, but Beerus is still 75% the speed of casual Whis back then. Which is still in the billions to trillions of C iirc. So I'm fine with the 3-A to Low 2-C cast having combat speed in that range.

I get that. I'm just trying to correct the math.

Arriving in 3/4 the time and being 75% the speed are two different things.

That was a typo in the OP, he meant Beerus was flying 3/4 the speed of Whis, it actually took Beerus 4/3 times the time.

Again, just making sure OP was aware of their mistake

Is there a calc for it?

There was an old calc for it, that was back in like 2016, but I have no idea where it is. I will have to check the old history of Whis' profile to find it.

Edit: There are calcs here and here. Both of which are massively lowballed and super casual. Beerus should still be no slower than either of these calcs.

We just need to know which calc was the speed feat performed in the OP. Anyone contacted AKM Sama about this?

There were calcs on NF but due to the very limited information they were extremely lowballed and IIRC were in the billions to trillions c range. This particular speed feat of Whis is the fastest he ever flew in DBS, Beerus's fastest speed is still unknown. However, Beerus's casual speed scales to 3/4 of Whis's casual speed.

The most we saw of a casual Whis was him going to the Kaioshin realm of U10 which was calced at 72 quadrillions c before the universe size was upgraded. So if not his casual speed, Beerus's fastest speed should at least scale below that imo.

Beerus would just scale to around 3/4 of 144 quadrillion c (2x the 72 quadrillion c. Calc due to the upgraded universe size) which would be 108 quadrillion c.

Ok this seems fine then.

Apparently not, but Medeus seemed to make sense.

Yeah, AKM Sama seems to have been the one that clarified the detail. The 7.2 * 10^16 c was a casual flight speed feat which Ki flight in Dragon Ball is a very casual martial arts technique and is generally considered that combat speed and reactions are well above flight speed. Attack speed especially has always been portrayed as much faster than flight speed, in which they're equal to their own attack speed.

So Beerus' casual speed would still be 5.6 * 10^16 c.

72,000,000,000,000,000 depends on if that's the Arale episode feat or the 3 universe crossing feat. Neither were necessarily casual. The first one explicitly wasn't casual, the second, if Whis could've easily gone faster, he would've, given it took three days.

Also regardless no, Beerus still wouldn't be 3/4 of Whis because we don't scale speed like that.

The only problem with Whis going faster is that it's more dangerous. Normally, Whis' Warp will make a small crater while in the Arale episode, the crater made pretty much smashed open the house.

So in all honesty it's less to do with max speed and just collateral damage done.

It was him going to the Kaioshin realm of universe 10 to save Gowasu.
