saint seiya speed upgrade!

703

so in recent chapters shura surrpassed the expansion of universe and OBD calculated it. got around 300 sextillions FTL so we need to upgrade top tier gold saints and above speeds to this level.

Oh yes those delicious upgrades.

they produced miracles alot. don`t know how that`s suppose to help

it`s a part of thier powers to produce miracles

Here is the scene in it's entirety.

It seems to be a mixture of Precognition / Reaction Speed, typical Saint Seiya "Miracle" stuff (Characters raising their power to levels insanely higher than their normal ones for an instant due to their will, such as well High 6-B Pegasus Seiya could come close to the power of a Gold Saint for a second, or react to a Lightspeed blast for an instant), and the author not realizing how fast that really is...

However, I totally suport Hundreds of Sextillions FTL for the God Tiers.

Wait, someone is already calcing my translations lol? Yeah, I was also ******** my pants when I saw that scene. Heck, I was discussing with EG_Sage if Shura had broken the concept of speed in general. Nice to see some upgrades for them Gold Saints.

@Tivanenk Hmm. Are you fluent in Japanese? If so, would you be willing to help out Matthew Schroeder and FanofRPGs with deciphering the second Demonbane game? It would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, I'm the one who's actually doing them, you can see my name on the second page of every chapter.
that`s very great dude. keep up the good work i really enjoy these chapters

mind if i ask as to which chapter(s) are you planning to translate the manga so far?

I have taken Japanese classes before and can read it somewhat, but I'm not sure I'm someone that you can say is fluent in Japanese. In this case, I'm helped by the fact that:

1) Manga has less words than visual novels and they're usually broken into fragments, making it easier to read.

2) Images really help as a reference to what is going on, and can help lead to the right direction at times.

3) I have both the Spanish and Brazilian scans to fall back on to check if I had the right idea when translating it at that time.

4) My knowledge of the Saint Seiya verse helps to understand how mechanics work there and makes it easier to understand concepts.

I'm planning to go up to the latest raws, which is Chapter 55 at this point.

nice. i`m very hyped to see more of assassins in future
I assume that you mean the Gladiators, and not the Faceless. And the later chapters will be awesome, I assure you.

Yeah, Gladiators are awesome, I really love the different themes from mythologies and even stories (Alice).

But honestly, what we really need to do in this thread is raise a candle to DBS. Poor thing was finally just starting to catch up, lick the heels of Saint Seiya, then this thing happens. And it's literally a feat that anyone who mastered the Seventh Sense can do. And he needed to go this fast to outspeed a Gladiator (with precog, but the Gladiator still had to move as fast as Shura to intercept him). This is just an absurd feat.

true. i wasn`t expecting this level of speed from gold saints

waiting for calculation team to approve this so we can start upgrading them

This isn't really surprising the Titans in episode G aren't even fazed by Cronus stealing time from the land so they are absurdly fast themselves but I'm still reading Saint seiya

Btw shouldn't Pegasus be low 2-C at the peak of his power compared to Hades"s multi universe power? I don't understand that one no one in the entire series even has the high 3-A rating? Otherwise even holding back Hades should've one shotted him

Well, not all series make a geometric distinction between an entire universal space-time continuum level power, and regular 3-D power, which creates problems for our tiering system to rank them properly.

In addition, I have been told that Saint Seiya uses quite a lot of this trope.

@Antvasima

Yep, it does, and it does through something the series calls "Miracles", which is the willpower, determination and hot-bloodness of the hero, as well as the burning of his Cosmos being so great that for a small instant his power level skyrockets, and allows him to match far stronger opponents.

That's why in Saint Seiya it's not really shocking for a Country level character to do a Large Planet feat through a Miracle, or a Hypersonic+ character to suddenly react to a Lightspeed blast. It's just a really broken series.

Well if it creates inconsistency then letting Pegasus as he is is the best option. However the Titans should be looked over since they aren't bound by spacetime from what I've read.

This feat doesn't create any inconsistencies from what I know. The other good speed feats assume time frames which can be easily adjusted.

The Titans have control over Entropy.

Their power is an universe unto itself, and they manipulate the power that makes the universe move forward.

i don`t think titans have infinite speed cronus maybe since he existed before the creation of the universe happend

So do we all agree on this speed feat and that it's legit?

If so, the following profiles would have to change: Titans, Gods, God Saints, and Gold Saints at their peak.
