Jumping on the bandwagon already: Link VS. Sora

Link resists everything except this:

Causality Manipulation (Rewrote the deaths of the keyblade wielders and completed negated the prophecy of darkness prevailing and light expiring, This affected even Xehanort who is unaffected by changes to the past)

Which doesn't seem combat applicable at first glance. Link just info analysis and just pummels Sora via higher AP or one of the haxes he doesn't resist.

It´s basically a type 8 immortality reliant on Kairi, which will undo his death as if nothing happened as many times it´s needed.

Meaning that just killing Sora isn´t an option.

May I point you to Ancient Arrows? Or, the Master Sword's powerful sealing? Or better yet, the Triforce's Existence Erasure?

Link has one of the best options to counter type 8, which is just yeeting you and your soul from existence entirely.

The problem is that it´s based in Causality Manip, meaning that the stuff is simply undone and the match basically restarts thanks to how it works.

Sealing may work, but Sora has escaped sealing before, how strong is it?

You are broken down and your essence (Soul and what is left of your body) is permanently sealed within the Master Sword, if the cutscenes are anything to go by.

Even after the Master Sword was heavily damaged during BotW, Demise was not unsealed. Nothing has broken free from this seal. Other seals in Zelda have been broken, such as the seal Zelda put onto Ganondorf at the end of OoT, or the seal in BotW. Throughout all of this time, even when its power and edge was lost during the Wind Waker, the Master Sword has kept Demise sealed away.

Even then, Sora's Causality Manip does not appear combat applicable. He did not reverse attacks, merely the state of the world and the deaths of others. Were it shown to have uses like say, Giorno's Causality Manip, well, then it would be a different story.

Additionally, the Triforce could just Thanos snap Sora, except far more powerful. Though this point is contentious since the Triforce's EE is a bit vague in terms of just how it works. Ancient Arrows aren't though.

So in other words, stomp for Link, GG, close the thread. Nothing Sora can do will have effect on Link, Link has too many ways to kill/eradicate Sora, and Sora's one way to force and incon is likely not combat applicable.

No no, it works like just restarting the match as Sora is bringed back to a past point as if nothing happened (not even he or the opponent remembers it), and it appears to only trigger itself if Sora abuses the Power of Waking or dies.

It stops it as it´s based in cause and effect per definition, not the existence itself.

Or better yet, Link can just BFR him to another realm. Or again, seal him.

Additionally that sounds less like Causality Manip and more like time travel.

You could say it does both pretty much.

And Sora travels from one realm to another every day, so that´s not a big issue.

And he has opened the keyholes of closed "worlds" before, so he can potentially even break the seal.

Causality Manipulation is not combat applicable, it requires not only Kairi to keep Sora from fading for good, but it also requires Sora to die. Mind you Kairi needs to be aware that Sora is dead so she can save him which she won't immedieatly be noted to if Sora is in a completely different universe.

Also even when Sora used said causality manipulation... he still did the same thing and they were only saved by a returning Lingering Will. So all Causality Manip would do is make an inf loop of Sora dying the exact same way. This is also assuming Link doesn't just power null Sora since Fi would likely warn him about causality loop upon death.

Not really... Sora just scales to countless 4-A pocket dimensions + Universe which is hardly anything to boast.

There are as many 4-A countless dimensions as stars, meaning that it can reach a value noticeably higher.

In the end, Sora has the AP advantage, anyways.

We currently treat "countless" statements in the "thousands" range. Thousands of worlds is cool and all but hardly even breaches 3-B.
