It was just your average day in the life of a superhero. Of course, it was also your average day in the life of a playboy millionaire. Tony Stark has noticed some odd things happening at a warehouse near Stark Towers. Strange disappearances and the like. And so, being a super hero, Tony Stark hurried to check out the warehouse, unaware of what he'd run into...

"JARVIS, you getting anything?" Tony asked as he entered the warehouse. A mouse scurried on past, but nothing too strange made itself apparent to the Golden Avenger.

"Nothing yet, sir." Tony kept moving forward, scanners taking in the environment for him and giving him a summary of what they saw. Nothing serious. Just a few abandoned boxes and dusty cobwebs. Maybe it was just a bunch of drug dealers? Well, even then he'd have to take care of them, but that would- "Sir, to your right."

Tony paused and took a quick glance to his right. He noticed just then that there were piercing red eyes, staring at him through the darkness. Tony froze for a moment before using his repulsor blasts to shoot himself to the other side of the warehouse. That was when the pair of eyes leaned out of the darkness and shot towards him. Throughout the warehouse there was the sound of "WRYYYYYY"

Speed is equalized

How likely is DIO to use his mind manip? Infact the High Mid regen is extremely tough for Tony to overcome as well I think

Couldn't summoning a bunch of iron man suits help him out with the regen? Either way Tony might figure out not to make eye contact with Dio, probably because Jarvis tells him not to.

OOC for him to summon Iron Man suits. The House Party Protocol was only when he was severely outmatched

Given the regen, this is kinda like Killian vs. Tony at the end of Iron Man 3, which showed that Iron Man actually cannot beat Low Mid regen unless via self destruction.

Then again, Iron Man has danmaku and DIO actually has a weakness Tony can exploit (Light manip with the flashes, and Dio can be shot in the head and killed). I'll vote Tony for the time being, I suppose

Alright. One vote for tony.

If it's OOC for him he still may do it if he feels like he's in too much trouble.

Dio's High Mid requires more stamina and blood as time goes on, his freeze is also hardcountered by Iron Man range spamming being his main technique, as he very rarely goes in close, the one time he did was when he was low on power

I will say Im not sure Iron Man's cold resistance can withstand the cold Dio gives off, as space isn't a problem for him.

However, Dio's main problem is his lack of ranged attacks, Eye beam is extremely predictable and easy to dodge for a flying opponent.

Voting Iron Man via Range Spam countering Dio's freeze and eventually overtaxing his regen.

No idea. Can you find out the level of cold by what it does to people?
If it's just freezing then to where they are brittle, space does that.

That sounds like the type of think that needs to be calced now that I think about it.

It's cold enough to freeze an entire man (barring his head) in only a few seconds through the water in his entire body.

Dio can only freeze via touching; range spam counters it.
True.

Though Tony can kill him even quicker if he goes CQC and the freeze doesn't work, but I doubt this will happen.

In that case, since Dio scales to being far superior than someone who did an almost 1 ton feat, they are pretty comparable.

Voting Dio for cutting Tony in half with a Space Ripper Stingy Eyes beam after he realizes that Tony is trying to range spam him. (They cut straight through people comparable to him so they're able to do the same to Tony. Also, they don't only travel in a straight line as in the clip I linked it shows that they follow his eyesight. Speed equal means that Tony can't fly faster than Dio can move his eyes.)

They're not going to cut through someone stronger then him in a single shot. That just means they're comparable.

Even then Tony can still just dodge it.

I didn't say he wouldn't be able to dodge forever. I said he wouldn't be able to dodge. Are you comparing a laser that moves at the speed of your opponent's eyesight to falling rocks and arrows that have a specific flight path?

The beam is already there. When he looks at Tony, that beam will be where Tony is. Did you watch the clip?

I am definitely comparing dozens of falling rocks that he can barely see to that of an eye beam that is homing based on eyesight that can be shot down or straight up tanked.

Besides, Dio used it the literal moment he was going to die, he's not using it to Iron Man until much later.

Come to think of it, Tony did go CQC against WS and Cap, so he may not fully Range Spam

"straight up tanked."

Can you explain why you think Iron Man can tank an attack that shreds people comparable to him?

"Besides, Dio used it the literal moment he was going to die, he's not using it to Iron Man until much later."

Yeah, because he didn't know about it then. Dio on the boat used it with gusto.

1. Him being stronger then the people it shreds

2. Piercing damage is a thing, which is noped by armor

You said that Dio and Iron Man are comparable. Dio and Johnathan are comparable. SRSE ripped straight through Johnathan, therefore it does the same to Tony.

It's not just the point of the beam that does damage, otherwise it wouldn't be able to cut things in half by going side to side.

Dio was comparable because of that I believed, I thought Dio scaled vastly above 1.1 Tons

Paulo answered the other point for me.

The gap is less than 2x (the gap between Iron Man and Tarkus is 2x, Dio is superior to Tarkus to an unknown degree); unless Mark 6 is more powerful than Mark 5, that is (the profile doesn't say if it is more powerful or not).

Tarkus is the one that made the feat, Dio is way better than him and Jonathan is comparable to Dio and also much superior to Tarkus.

@Paulo

Dude this is fiction, by that logic the beam wouldn't have done anything to the tower that it cut the top off of.

Guys, I posted a clip where Dio cuts multiple things in half with the beams, including zombies, a tower top, and a cloud. He didn't make a singular hole, he turned and cut them.
