Fifteenth round of the 8-B Brackets Begins! Winner of the last round was Thunder McQueen.

Current Standings

Hub

The contenders for this round are the Son Goku (Dragon Ball), submitted by Cinnabar, and Lord (Overgeared), submitted by Ricsi-Viragosi.

Lord is 3 years old. 22nd Budokai Goku. Speed is equalized. Battle takes place on the plains of Wakanda in the MCU.

Lord scales to 4.5 quakes, Goku is apparently 34 Tons.

Apparently Goku is around 34 tons. I remember that from a thread I did with 8-B Roshi
 
also Ricsi should explain how the heck the Low Multiversal durability works because I'm just about to yeet Lord out of the brackets and move on at this point.
 
Really?

I doubt that, I don't remember any calc that puts him at 8-B. I'd assume it was from scaling above General Blue's High 8-C feat, which would make them baseline.

Assuming the 4.5 earthquake thing is correct that means Lord is 84 tons (and hence technically City Block+) and can apparently tank lots of attacks on his own level. He also seems to not have worse abilities whenn it comes to close combat battle.

On the other hand Goku has flight and Lord is pretty much entirely melee.


The question is if Goku abuses that or would see it as unfair to just fly out of the opponents range and shoot them until he wins.

I would vote Lord, if Goku doesn't play range, and Goku, if Goku does play on range.

Edit: Wait a minute. Speed is not equalized? If I don't have the wrong key isn't goku Hypersonic+, while Lord is Supersonic? Goku in that case...

Was gonna try making it but gave up since it was taking too long (Tried doing Grid first, worst mistake of my life)

Nice to see if finally in the site

As for the Low Multiverse level, it's probably related to Kraugel slicing up the World, in which Grid survived it with his Invincibility as far as I'm concerned, can't remember too much
 
Goku dances around with his crazy speed and eventually wears down Lord. Voting for Gokes.
 
Oh, I didn't realize Goku was hypersonic, misread the profile.

I'll equalize speed if that helps then.

The low-multiverse thing works when he revieves a killing blow, and only for 2.5 seconds a day.

It'll keep him alive for a bit longer, but unless his enemy goes for an all or nothing attack, it doesn't change much.


Here, goku is likely more skilled, tough the longer the fight goes on the more likely Lord is to catch up. I... don't think Goku could fly yet here. He had Nimbus, but he didn't use it to fight. Unless I'm misremembering his skillset, Lord likely gets a first hit through stealth and then manages to outlast him after a long battle.

I feel the pain. It's jist so... long.

And nah. Invincibility is stated to be an absolute that nothing in-game can overcome, and Yatan and Rebecca have this whole destroy-create the world cycle going on

IDK if that statement was reffering to the creation and destruction of the universe as a whole. Where did the statement come from and was the person saying it aware of said Low Multiversal entities?
 
Both. It was supposed to be a game patch and was claimed by the game devs and an in game centuries old NPC awre of the alternate dimension that is hell (he's from there).

When the Yatan Church (statanists) became the main firce, the game would (by the meta prespective) go through a reset where people get to remake their characters as new unlocked races, etc.

By the game lore, Yatan destroys the world, and then Rebecca recreates it. They also make it clear that it is the dimension (Make a difference between the world as a planet and the earth dimension. It could be more than one if hell is affected, but since heaven would be fine I doubt it.)

The fact that beings created at the beginning of the current cycle are claimed to be as old as time also supports that time is also destroyed by Yatan.
 
Lord FRA. A solid AP advantage and invincibility put things squarely in Lord's favour, whereas Goku's best tactics of flight based range spam aren't in character apparently
