So, there's recently been the profile added of Dora the Explorer, who has a lot of issues. Let's go through them.

Abilities
These need a lot more justification than they are given. Here's a list of what needs to be proven better:

  • Flight (Completely unexplained)
  • Light manip (Completely unexplained)
  • Energy manip (Completely unexplained)
  • Time Slow (Needs elaboration and proof of being time)
  • Fate manip (What even)
  • Broadway force (Completely unexplained)
  • Cloth manip (Completely unexplained)
  • Summoning (This just isn't summoning, it's the utilization of hammerspace)
  • Plant manip (Completely unexplained)
  • Animan manip (This is too vague to be an acceptable explanation, real life trainers don't have animal manip for teaching animals commands)
  • Telekinesis (Completely unexplained)
  • Sound manip (Completely unexplained)
  • Water manip (Completely unexplained)
  • Electricity manip (Completely unexplained)
  • Mind resistance (Mages can do a lot of things, need to at least show that the mage mindhaxxed others)
  • Transmutation resistance (She doesn't even resist being transmuted to an animal)
Basically, everything besides SPC, self sustenance, hammerspace, and enhanced senses.

Statistics

  • AP: Please provide an example of her being superior, I can lift people I am weaker than after all
  • FTL reactions: This is just not how it works. "Reacted to things in space" is completely meaningless with no further context.
Now you may think I'm being unusually harsh on the file, requesting justification for things like energy manipulation. The issue is, Dora isn't really a combat character and doesn't have a gallery. The abilities and techniques section fails to justify any of this stuff, and as such nobody has any idea how any of this would work in a fight. Profiles need to be able to explain this sort of thing.

So if anyone has the context or proof for any of this, that would be great.
 
If basically everything is wrong with the profile like you described is there any point to keeping it and not just remaking it?
 
I think I can remember some of those, but my memory is vague in those and I definitely don´t remember the episode names, so I can´t help much.
 
I can see things like generic light manipulation existing in some form, but the notable abilities and techniques section needs to actually exist if you add in basic powers you usually don't need to further explain in P&A.
 
The main issue seems to be that the powers and abilities were copied from the Joke Battles versio. That one is fine over there, but you can't just copy joke battles P&A sections and expect it to fly on vbw.
 
That is just a flashlight though. I have no idea if we would count that, considering we don't for CH.

I'd personally be okay with it, but it needs to have its usage specified in Abilities and Techniques.
 
I think deleting the profile for now is a good alternative. And this comes from someone that´s still waiting to be able to add Barney.
 
Well I can't do that on my own, being a discussion mod and all. I'll ask someone who can.
 
I can go ahead and try to rewatch most of the episodes to see if I come up with a good profile in the future (if it's deleted)... But I'm uncertain of how long that would take.
 
Still not as bad as that time I didn´t take the site seriously enought and made a Dora profile with a 2-C rating with no proper justifications via wank.

Those were dark days... and I´m sorry.
 
we shouldn't have profiles for characters who have never fought before or have no reasonable way to fight change my mind

On topic... Dora is actually a lot higher than 9-B based on the few things I do remember ... But I need to have time to relook at certain episodes for consistency to see if such a high-ends are consistent. Okay... I'm motivated enough to do it as soon as I get home, as I have a week break from College.
 
how does bloodlusting a train turn it into a fighter

Thomas really shouldn't have a profile the only way to have a "fight" with him is to have someone stand on the tracks because if they step off he can't harm them really
