Let's try this again, eh?
Lucy had been called out to an old house on the outskirts of Chelsea. It was midway through the Black Winter, one of the deadliest periods of the Problem since it began. A neighbor had called in, saying that they had seen a gross, mishappen creature standing in the window. Vaguely human shaped, possibly a Raw-Bones or a Changer. Lucy's fingers flexed around her rapier as the moon began to rise. She'd rather not tackle a ghost of this cailbre alone, but she had no choice.
She moved through the house, taking temperature readings, keeping her psychic senses open. Nothing. It was like the house wasn't haunted at all, much less with a dangerous Type 2. She stopped, resting against a wall. It was past one, no signs of a manifestation. "Lucy! Behind you!" The Skull's voice appeared in her mind, and Lucy jumped to the side, just avoiding the flailing tentacle. Her rapier hissed from it's sheath as she eyed up the grotesque monster. A Changer, definitely, but how? No psychic disturbances, chill, spiders, nothing!
She readied her rapier, ready for a battle to the death.
