Raimi Venom vs The Thing (I guess were doing this again)

Chondrites are strange old asteroids. They are actually the closest thing outside of planet Earth we have to organic life (Containing things like hydrocarbons, carboxylic acids, alcohols, ketones, aldehydes, amines, amides, sulfonic acids, phosphonic acids, amino acids, nitrogenous bases, etc), and are likely the reason why we have life on Earth in the first place. They are also really old, forming from the stellar nebula rather than the protoplanetary disk like other asteroids.

However, and the bit I presume you all have been waiting for, is how does this relate to Venom? The killer is that chondrites are not at all absorbant in the same way that other Venom incarnations and the Thing are. They form around the molocules that they contain through the process of accretio (super complex, just click the link). But, TL;DR, the way that chondrites contain and hold other molocules within them is by forming around said molocule, and trapping it.

It works in a similar way to magnets. Non-compatable molocules (for chondrites, those that were not found within the Sun's photosphere) will be repelled (similar to what happened in the animation). But compatible elements, such as the ones I linked above will be attracted, and contained. Which is, I presume, what the scientist meant, when he was discussing Venom. Rather than absorb, in the traditional sense, what Venom does is surround and contain compatible matter. Humans come under this description, as we are literally made out of what either the photosphere threw here, or what chondrites brought here. This is why the Venom suit acts the way it does. Sort of like accretion (there's that word again), but on a macro level.

How does all of this affect the battle? If the Thing is incompatible, Venom will passively repell it, almost like an invisible barrier for the Thing. But if it is compatible, then Venom will not repell it. In fact, the suit will actively attempt to enfold the Thing.
