Pretty badass rendition of siegfried and fafnir from the new 348601861447613f0f2fc29b67182e31
First round of the 7-A brackets begins!

Current Standings

The condenders are Sho Minazuki, submitted by EdwardTruong2006, and Vilgax, sort of submitted by Apies/Phoenix as a last minute slot holder.

Speed is equalized. Alien Force/Omniverse Vilgax used, with his Chronosapian Time Bomb is restricted. Battle takes place in a Mr. Smoothie restaurant, 20 meters apart.

Vilgax -

Hmm I feel Sho could have an edge with his Life and Power Absorbtion depending on how good they are. His teleportation and Gravity Hax could also immobilise Vilgax quite well.

Not sure how good the gravity manip is but I doubt it can bypass Vilgax's movement and flight.

Vilgax has forcefeilds that can probably block life/power absorption assuming the attacks are part of a projectile.

That said Sho has Vilgax beat in versatility with teleportation.

How foes Vilgax's power nullification work? That may give him a substantial major edge in the fight

i just want to point out that Vilgax has a decent AP advantage since he can scales to Diamond head, who was competly tanked a 350 megatons, while Shon is only around baseline

So Sho will have a hard time destroying Vilgax's forcefields, which would vastly reduce the usefulness of Sho's ranged attacks

They both seem to prefer CQC, which would favor Vilax since he's more skiled than Sho.

Also Vigax kept up with Ben costantly changing alien form, so Sho's much minor versatility advantage won't be much of a problem

I vote Vilgax

So I can't remember where Vilgax gets his power null from, in my (admittedly brief) search for it, I found other powers he is missing from his profile. Yeesh, how did people miss some of these.

  • Interaction with intangibles
  • Homing attacks
  • Energy absorption
  • Forcefield creation
While Diamondhead did tank the 350 megatons, Diamondhead is also the form who beat this version of Vilgax, though Vilgax still managed to punch right through a huge wall of his diamond.

Versatility advantages really don't matter against him when he has fought Ben with Master Control and in War of the Worlds, he only encountered brief setbacks with each alien before crushing them. At this range, Vilgax is just gonna shoot his rip off Omega Beams, which will follow Sho until they hit.

I can't speak for Sho but combat ability likely goes to Vilgax as well, what with his boatload of powers and gear, all of which he has beaten and absorbed/taken from the best fighters of multiple worlds all of whom are no slouches when it comes to combat as seen when he passed up on absorbing the abilities of two Galactic Enforcers because he didn't consider them good enough despite them having been patrolling the galaxy for years and constantly fighting criminals and such.

Vilgax should take this. Not only does he have the greater experience, he was an actual threat to Ben, who had the versatility advantage almost every time.

Also, I think it's needless to say that Vilgax far outclasses Sho in close combat given the farmer's run-ins with some of the greatest fighters in the galaxy.

I'll find someone to root for through these matches.

For now, I'll have to vote for Mr. Smoothie-

Vilgax FRA, but open to having my mind changed.

Vilgax FRA, Sho tends to be a brat as well so he'ls likely not going to be making sound decisions. If it's Minazuki he'd fare better but the result would probably still be the same.

I'm a persona supporter but I don't see how Sho can get round that skill gap for starters nvm mind AP. >_> Though I reckon Narukami would fare better.

AP doesn't matter if you're haxed enough.

But you know what? f**k it, Vilgax FRA then, the next round should me created i say.

Next will be Gildedguy vs Ultron.

Can't wait for that to go down.

I'm putting my bets on Gildedguy for the rest of the tournament. Just because of that face.

@Dargoo in future matches, if possible, could AP/Dura/etc calcs he listed? Sometimes it's hard to find those.

I missed this oof

Who's in control here, Sho or Minazuki?

^ This is really important

Someone brought it up earlier, but said the result would be the same.

Also, Vilgax FRA unless it being Minazuki actually matters. (Ultimax and Q/Q2 are the few Persona games I actually missed.)

Sho doesn't have a Persona

Minazuki does

Also Gravity Manip locks the opponent in place but i forgot if it's the first thing that Minazuki does.

If Minazuki has a persona and more powers he would logically be the stronger of the two and therefore would automatically be the version used here under SBA.

I can specify if needed. That said being gravitylocked doesn't really stop Vilgax from using his projectiles and forceeilds.
