Murder Mysteries is not published by Vertigo or DC, it's published by Dark Horse Comics, so it doesn't count and is merely a one shot spinoff of Gaiman's continuum sub-autonomous lore than as being truly a serious part of the DC/Sandman cosmology. It also further contradicts the creation of origin of space and time, attributing it to angels below Lucifer in power, rather than the direct involvement of Michael and Lucifer.Setsuna tenma said:

DeMatteis did compare his version of Marvel to DC from Twitter (the stuff the Fallen Stars scales to was directly compared to the Cat Dreams that Shaped the Presence and Overmind)... But those are different versions so I doubt it can be used for this debate.
