I'd say the hax they share are pretty comparable, but Dovahkiin just has a few extra like Time Stop to give him an edge, as well as experience with several Low 2-C characters, as opposed to Pennywise's experience with opponents on that level being mainly extending just to fighting the Turtle afaik

Bend Will GG. If that doesn't work than Dovahkiin can use Marked for death+Drain vitality to weaken him and then finish him of with Soul Tear. Or he can use Wirlwind Sprint+Elemental Fury to slash him few times and then finish him of with something.

This version of Pennywise is so much bigger than the universe that it perceives the latter as being "an egg" in comparison to itself.

Meanwhile, none of Dovah's keys say he resists madness hax, especially anything on the level of the Deadlights. True It exists and Dovah's brain ruptures, then his soul is assimilated into the Deadlights the moment he dies.

He does resist. The resistances are just tiresome to add. Miraak survived being inside Apocrypha for 5,000 years, an infinite, higher-dimensional realm of eldritch horrors known to drive even powerful mages inside it completely mad within days.

If it's not ont the profile it most definitly should, as going to Apocrypha and *not* going insane is a feat of pretty reasonable resistance, although Matt/Ultima should be a better judge of to what degree.

Also I don't see why Pennywise seeing the universe as an egg matters when Alduin devours the old Kalpa and from its remains lays the egg of the next Kalpa.

Not that size should matter in the slightest for abstract non-corporeal cosmic entities.

Quit being lazy.

What other things does he resist that aren't on his profile, if anything? I'd like to actually know what he's capable of if the profile isn't an accurate reflection of that.

For once, Reality Warping and Tonal Magic. TES is just really complex to explain as far as powers go which is why I'm not putting detailed ability explanatiojns just yet.

The Thu'um isn't just a shouting ability. It is literally adding your Voice to the Song of Creation itself, manipulating and conducting the underlying tones that compose all of reality. When the Dovahkiin casts a shout, he isn't releasing energy as sound, he is literally commanding change onto the universe through Voice.

Also literally speaking has a Cooldow

Man it feels so good to have that finally, after all these years, removed from the hecking profile

@Dargoo: I'm not going to pursue that one. I'd rather not have an argument about my sense of humor...

Going back a bit:

I may be missing something, but "within days" seems like less than what the Deadlights are capable of. Let me elaborate.
People who see the Deadlights are driven so violently mad that they die the instant their mind starts processing what they're looking at. One character looked at the Deadlights, had exactly one thought go through her head, and then died on the spot. Another immediately before her looked at the Deadlights and died so hard that his brain literally ruptured and blood spurted out of his every orifice.

In Insomnia, the Deadlights are seen again, and a character who could literally travel to higher planes of existence and perceive what was on them as well as understand powers far beyond average ken, had to look away the second he saw them or risk dying right then and there.

That's why I say what I said. If Dovah's resistance isn't good enough, what I outlined is literally what happens.

If you're just saying he resists this, then point. I don't think I ever planned on making an argument in favor of RW though, since Penny's really isn't that well-defined outside of harmful illusions, shapeshifting and a couple of other barely applicable powers.
As far as using this on Penny goes however, unless you're saying "universe" in the "all of existence on every level" sense (which you're probably not, unless you're trying to say he has High 1-B RW), Pennywise is outside of time and space, and as I said before, dwarfs universal space-time to the point that it perceives it as nothing but an "egg" in comparison to itself. Even if he can use his Voice on things outside of the universe, he'd need feats of affecting something that much more vast and complex with it.

There's actually a lot wrong with the second asessement but I'm already multitasking and don't want to turn this into a giant arguing game with you about this.

I thought that was the point of having a VS debate?

If you're doing something else already, I don't mind waiting until you're free. I'm probably going to have to jump off in fifteen minutes or so anyway.

Just blame Zach for immediately using TES I guess

Zach spams shit without thought.
I know this firsthand from his... Special, comments about Anime... And a particular, favorite anime character of mine.

Vietnam flashbacks

I don't see how Deadlights is more impressive than Apocrypha. A mortal gets a glimpse in one of those Black Books becomes insane, but it is even worse when you have 1-C being named Herma-Mora gets into your mind for eternity. Of course, Herma-Mora >>> Pennywise.

Miraak, LDB and probably Neloth are those powerful enough to resist the influence.

Dovahkiin can enforce the concept such as mortality upon a being outside of space-time like Alduin. Honestly, even lowly Daedra lords and some dragons are already outside of space-time themselves. I just don't see how Pennywise is more impressive unless he is on a Daedric Prince level or something. However, he is having an equal "Acausality" with Dovahkiin is interesting.

I don't have a clear knowledge on IT, so I could be wrong.

I wonder if he's made another match with his Excel saga profile he still hasn't fixed

I've seen at least one of those since the last one we were both on.

I don't have a joke for that one...

Honestly I might reccomend banning TES matches of Tier 2 and above if this continues too far, at least until Matt and Ultima get all the top tiers and explainations worked out.
Yeah, I think that would be best with how overextended Matt seems.

In this case, Zach did nothing wrong. He just used a profile.

I think this is the best decision

Perhaps a temporary ban on using TES characters until they're al sorted out
They're already sorted out, but it is difficult to explain the details for the uninvested people.

The lower tiered profiles don't need lore buffs to explain everything save for a couple of exceptions.

Anything above Tier 2 should be banned for the moment. I'll make a thread in a bit.

Just to add on the LDB ressistances. He resist everything that he can shout, because shouting is not just saying the words but absorbing and fully understanding their essence. You can even see this in game with the Bend Will shout. When you go to Solstheim before you learn the Bend Will and you sleep you will awake being mind controlled and working on the stones that Miraak is building but you quickly snap out of it. And when you learn the first word of Bend Will when you sleep that no longer happens.

I remember playing the Dragonborn DLC and iirc after reading one of Hamaus Mora's books, the telvani wizard came up to you and was surprised you were still sane, because those who usually talk to him don't come back the same. Like that random event guy you find running around the island talking crazy, he read the book and he was just... Not right in the head after.

I could be wrong as I haven't played it in a long time, if so feel free to correct me.

What else does Pennywise do besides passive madness hax?.

I mean, just driving some mages insane is nothing in comparison to what the deadlights have done.

Thing can make people's head explode within seconds of viewing it, and made a guy who could comprehend higher dimensions look away in fear of dying from exposure.

Hmm... Didn't know the deadlights were that strong.

Still wondering what he does besides Madness Manipulation?. Not saying it's not going to work, I'm just curious.

Well, he can rip out people's minds and souls, even if said minds and souls are amped by a Low 2-C turtle.

.... Then again, Penny and The Turtle might get upped to High 1-B, so.

Then again, said upgrades are more in the works.
