Also shouldn't Overclocked Nicole have the same abilities as other Super Forms? She's powered by a Red Star Ring, which is a power ring with Chaos Emerald Energy thrown into the mix.

Unfortunately the only person she's used it against was Phage. All we have is the statement of Red Star Rings having Chaos Emerald's energy when produced.

So here's a discussion for the thread; do you prefer the Game continuity or the Archie continuity?

I personally think that the Archie Comics is better overall, whether it comes to building the characters or building the lore. They all seem mucb more developed, which is a given because it's a comic. I feel like we've seen the characters at their most raw and pure form, and I really love seeing that. What about you guys?

Overall, I would say Archie. The characters overall are better developed (especially Knuckles), more powerful, and expand more on the lore.

Though I like Shadow in the games more than Archie, he's a little soft in the comics.

Ah, that's all that needs to be said.

So, what's your favorite character from the Game verse and Archie Verse respectively? Unless they're the same for both.

@Shake My favorite character would have to be Gamma. To his slick design, the greatest monotone robot voice ever, and to his character arc, there's a lot to Gamma I really like. Also kind of an unpopular opinion, but I like his gameplay the most out of Adventure.

As for Archie, idk. This might've been already clear to people like ShadowWarrior and Maverick, because of how much questions I ask about it, I didn't really read the comics. So idk...Titan tails. That's my pick.

Archie.

Way more Story heavy and I enjoy the interactions of Sonic and other characters beyond Game Quips. Give Sonic more character as well

My favorite Archie Exclusives are Sally, Shard, Scourge and Enerjak

Archie. I love the story, I love Jalil White (who imo is the true voice of Sonic), I love the designs of the characters, etc. Also, it had consistent quality.

Definitely dig the Archie Comics more due to better characterizations. Plus it has some decent fights here and there, such as in Sonic Universe #54.

NANI!

Ah, good to see what you guys think!

My favorite from the game probably does have to be Shadow, and weirdlt enough, it's probably because of his standalone video game. I feel like, despite the meh quality, it really delved into his character way more than anybody else within the Game Verse. Sonic's the good guy, heart of gold, the fearless hero, and I love him for that. But Shadow's is more complicated, and I love it.

From Archie, I think I'd have to choose Sonic. We've seen him as a father, a homeless bum, we've seen him at his limit, we've seen him like how we recognize him, and we've even seen him lose in the Dark future. Honestly, we've seen him go through everything and still come out on top most of the time.

Jaleel White as Archie Sonic is something I can't get outta my head. Thanks Cal lol.

I love Roger as Sonic, I probably would've liked it if he stayed as the voice actor.

A Jaleel White Archie Sonic is just too funny, though. And great.

It's kinda like Cal pointed out. Since the Archie Comics started as a Sat AM continuation/tie-in, Jaleel is essentially the voice actor.

But you're right, it's pretty funny.

Fun facts taken from the Sonic wiki:

  • In Sonic the Hedgehog #8, while Robotnik summoning robots based on comic book characters, he summons a Wolverine bot (based on the comic book character of the same name), but due to a communications glitch, a Wolvurkel (a combination between the superhero Wolverine and Steve Urkel) was sent and started dancing. Sonic states that he sounds familiar, and a side bar even said, "It's true! Jaleel 'Urkel' White is the voice of Cartoon Sonic!"
  • According to an interview with Aaron Webber [1], he claims that if anyone were to voice Classic Sonic in Sonic Generations, it would be Jaleel White. Aaron mentioned that he grew up with the classic cartoons of Sonic like Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, and he thought Jaleel White did a fantastic job.

When Sonic makes a 2-A job via Fate Hax.

I wonder how things would've went if Penders never sued and Sonic succeeded in bringing back the Pre-Gen universe.
