Continued from here.

To re-summarize:

Our DC Profiles are below our current standards of quality. Not all of them. Our more modern files, such as this one are pretty good. Whereas those like this one are pitiful. So, what I'm going to do is make them fabulous. This thread is a hub for any potential revising that need be, however my primary objective is simply profile clean up. Note that I haven't looked at them all, so I do apologize if for whatever reason it turns out most of the files are actually up to speed and I'm exaggerating about the quality. Just to be on the same page.

What is required:

  • Summaries
  • A better listing of powers
  • Calculations linked if needed
  • Discussion regarding what may need to be revised

Well, I read somebody else in the wiki state that the Holly Black run would be ignored, and The Presence is still around, but I suppose that they might have been wrong.

Not what happened. There's simply a massive time skip in the Lucifer story, and the character has lost his powers again and is with selective amnesia. So it's unclear what actually happened.

However, in Sandman Universe, he references his son with Izanami, and Mazikeen having Morningstar powers.

So it's clear that Holly Black's run is still canon.
 
SSJRyu1 brought up that it is possible that we should adjust the speed of Pre-Crisis Superman, and all the characters scaled from him, to "MFTL+. Immeasurable by flying through time."

Would this be more appropriate that straight immeasurable as currently? We use a similar system for the Wally West Flash.
 
Ok, I hate to sound like a broken record, but those Intelligence ratings reeeeally need to be looked at.

And it's not just because of the copy-paste, quite nonsensical descriptions on some (that's actually a tiny problem, considering only 3 profiles currently have it)), but many outright don't even have an Intelligence description. It just says unknown with no justification whatsoever, except the fact that the page maker/s was/were lazy.

I would do it myself, but:

  • There are too many profiles
  • Some of them are locked
  • I'm not knowledgeable on DC enough to know what to fill them with anyway. Etrigan is the only one I've corrected (due to having some familiarity with the character) and even on him I'm extremely iffy.
 
Yeah, I was skeptical about Immeasurable speed for Pre-Crisis Superman; at least as far as combat speed is concerned. Time Travel =/= automatically equal Immeasurable speed; there needs to be showings and/or explanations that the character is literally infinitely faster than natural elements such as light. And characters with Immeasurable combat speed are like literally able to perceive linear time however they want to; whether it be normal, completely frozen, backwards at any speed, ect.

Anyway, I haven't found anyone else that could use adjustment, but was looking through like Green Lanterns, White Lanterns, ect to add to that list; haven't found any who are currently Immeasurable.
 
So i was looking through some extra Superman (Pre-Crisis) feats and i found a weird one where he can use his telescopic vision to look through time.

I also once found a panel of him saying that Kryptonian ships could travel through time because they had "infinite speed" but i haven't been able to dig it up again. Don't know if that would mean anything.
 
I have adjusted the speed ratings for the profiles that I listed earlier.

If I forgot any, or made some mistakes, please mention it here.

Damnit Bendis... now we have more outliers to add to his profile. Though i wouldn't be surprised if they just upgrade Superman's power levels, what with the recent Mxyzptlk resistance feats and whatever's gonna happen at the end of Doomsday Clock between him and Doctor Manhattan... so who knows.

Yes, but he was simply called Ion. He did not host the entity of the same name, so we had no useful feats to scale his statistics from.
 
Considering that they're going to have Superman vs Dr. Manhattan in the future, I hope they give an in-universe explanation for why Superman is suddenly handling a guy who even Mxyzptlk was scared of.
 
Yes, I hope they do otherwise it'll be still left an unquantifiable outlier.

If they at least give an explanation, a key can be made for that. I'm just thinking about the future. What if after all this hype they don't even fight?
 
Might not be an actual toe to toe fight, but rather than Doctor Manhattan holds back.

Nah, after all the hype and statements that Superman is getting, it's hard to say there won't be a fight.
 
Well, Marvel and DC are both extremely inconsistent in terms of character matchups. That is nothing unusual, although Marvel is usually considerably more extreme.
