The one piece character profile images are bad

why are all the images changed to these crappy video game renders? they dont even show the full body most of the time and its so messy since we see a bunch of extra crap like the backgrounds. it just looks bad. simple full body renders that are transparent are much better.
 
A lot of the previous images were garbage. At least this way there is some consistency, and a lot of these renders are pretty good.

Look at the past version of Nekomamushi's profile compared to his current one. The current image is a lot better.

yeah these new images are improvements for some profiles since some of the profiles had even shittier images back then, but for most of the profiles, these new images are downgrades. doflamingo's previous image was fine, zoro's previous image was fine, nami's previous image was fine, sanji's was fine, usopp's was fine, jinbe's was fine, law's was fine, shank's was fine, etc.

these new images are ******* shit compared to most of the old renders. the old renders were nice, simple, and clean, and full body renders. the new images dont even show the full body, and its so damn crowded with unnecessary effects like fire and smoke and random buildings, and overall they just look really bad and messy. let's be honest, the one on the left looks like shit compared to the one on the right. the one on the right was the original and the one on the left is the new image.

Anyway, I personally rather like several of the current images, but if others find better ones, I won't mind using them either.
 
Case by case evaluation regarding if the old images are better to use is fine of course.
 
I agree that the old image for Trafalgar Law looks better for example.

like if an image is bad, it makes sense to change it to these new renders. but a lot of the times, the original images are fine, and yet some idiot is STILL changing it to these new video game renders. like the original trafalgar law image is MUCH better than the new crowdy messy looking one.
 
Well, the current version doesn't look that bad, but the old one is better, agreed.
 
I do not have the time to do so myself, as I am already very busy, but maybe Damage3245 is willing to help us out.

It would help if you supply a list of all the images that looked better before.

I don't think the current version of Trafalgar Law's image looks bad either, but I'll replace the image with that other one for now.

That Smoker one isn't even properly rendered... it still has the white background.

And that Doflamingo isn't better than what is currently there.

EDIT: I disagree with replacing the current images with those images.

and yeah i changed smoker's image to the rendered one.
 
The Crocodile and Mihawk images are good though, and the one for Smoker would be good if it was rendered.
 
Akainu and Shanks should be fine as well.
 
Akainu's and Crocodile's look more goofy than anything else.

Just because it is a full-body picture does not mean it is automatically better.
 
You have a point about Akainu, but I rather like the one for Crocodile.
 
The hook seems too large for Crocodile though.
 
i have another one for doflamingo. you may or may not like it. and i didnt render it yet. but i will if you guys accept it.

The second one is incomplete and cut off in places. The first one is a full image.
