Major Saw (Franchise) Revisions

Well let's start. This will be more just my personall questions and comments on the pages as is. Also computer I am on is very laggy so please patient with spelling errors, I will edit it later when I can switch to my labtop.

Saw (franchise)

  • Summery needs to be rewritten. Besides the cringy nature of my original summery, information about Saw Rebirth and the video games should be added. I can do this, probably will, just explaining why i will do it.
  • Pictures for both the games, Jigsaw (Film), and the comic should be either added to the verse picture or gallery
  • Power of the verse should be edited with game info. I will get around to doing it soon.
Characters
John Kramer

  • Why does John have traps under standard equipment? He isn't lugging it all around in his pockets. Just seems unnessisary due to include it on his profile.
  • Possibly add Prep and Poison Manip to his profile. Poison is used in the Flamable Jelly trap and it wasn't because of the jelly meaning Jigsaw had to incert it into the victims bood stream via unknown means. Prep is obvious with his planning for traps, predicting all possible outcomes and countering it, etc.
  • Should game or comic feats be on his profile? They are non-canon sourses so should the be their own keys or no?
  • Possibly give John and maybe Mark a prep key. This could possibly be a way to include trap feats on their profiles. Mark would likely have more than John due to things like turrets, explosives, etc that he uses when he controls the game. I can accumulate feats for both if it is allowed.
Pighead II

  • Should PII have his own profile or should it be a seprate key under Mark Hoffma due to supposably being MH. That may be a fan theory, i will have to check if it was confirmed or not.
Traps
Reverse Beartrap

  • Is the damage it does only 9-C or is it higher? Iirc crushing a skull is wall level, correct?
Flammable Jelly (Saw)

  • While I like the trap, it seems more like a situation than a weapon. Requires outside sourses and other things. Other than that let's go through this profile.
  • Tier: 9-B=Is burning off skin a 9-B feat?
  • Durability: Wall level=How? It is just jelly.
  • Range: Tens of Meters= Uh...really? that is just the length of the room. The jelly isn't burning the entire room. If we say the trap is the entire room, yes, but again it is more of a situation. It would be like making a profile for the Bathroom trap, which if this is allowed to stay i just might.
  • Abbilities: Not so much. Fire Manipulation is a no, due to the Jelly just being flamable, and requires matches or some external force to actually be inflamed. Poison Manipulation is also a no do to it taking place before a victim is placed in the trap.
Planning
I am planning on adding the game profiles, along with the missing characters from the films soon. This will also include cleaning up and traps.

Saying this almost exclusively in regard to the Flammable Jelly trap...yeah, that might actually have grounds to be deleted. I just really wanted to make a profile for one of my favorite traps in the entire Saw franchise, but after looking back on it, it's not that impressive, and as you pointed out, not very well thought out.

Actually, I'm working to one-up the Flammable Jelly trap at this moment with the Venus Flytrap from Saw II, so hopefully that one will be a bit better.

Oh really? Can't wait man. It is also used in the games (At least Saw II: Flesh and Blood), so it can have a link to that and the film feat.

Kinda was hoping it was ok. Was getting hyped to make the Bathroom ^^;

What about the other stuff?

I mean, if you'd like to help out with making the Flammable Jelly trap a little better, that'd be super.

Also, I do agree that both John and Mark would be a lot more efficient with prep, and that a separate key could probably be made for them. (Heck, Rick Sanchez and Doctor Who have it, so why not?) Otherwise, they should only have the standard fare of kidnapper tools rather than any of the traps. (i.e., syringes, guns, etc.)

Also, I'm sure someone calculated the force of the Reverse Beartrap somewhere. If not, then it could probably be calculated easily for its force for the determination of its power.

If I can I will.

So you agree the traps on John's Standard Equipment should be removed? Also for prep John (In the games and movies) creates games in large builldings, asylums, hospitals, etc. Don't know what that could do but just for information. These include Fire, Electric, Acid, Poison, Smoke, Explosive, Ice, Water, and various other types of traps all in the buildings. Alot of these traps are on my composite trap blog post but that includes traps created by Hoffman and Logan Nelson. Also as I said before should John have possible poison manip normally?

Also it does shatter the fake head, but that is likely weaker than a human skull. I will look around.

Another thing, besides poison manipulation and prep, should John also have limited memory manipulation with syringe as well? In the first film, when Adam is abducted, for a good chunk of the move Adam doesn't know or remeber why he is there. This could just be him acting but as Gordan said "Your a terrible lier".

It also isn't stated that a syringe was used so yeah, idk.

Memory Manipulation? Nah. That's just a side effect of the poison, which was likely compounded by the trauma caused by his kidnapping. And actually, it was Amanda that kidnapped him, so it's very likely that she did use a syringe, since she probably couldn't take him out without one.

Even if it is a side effect then it is an effect or possible effect but ok.

Well she took out Gordon as well right? Also it never is explisently shown she cannot, except for what was said, also does it show her using the syringe in SAW II against Adam. If she does overpower Adam, the she scales to him who even when shot utterly wrecks Zep, so maybe she is above average. Zep could somewhat match Tapp who was a skilled police officer (Even stronger in the game), though he had also been shot.

Speaking of Zep, John uses poison again there.
