Welp, now that the Xenobois got their upgrades. It's time to see what they're made of. Monado 1 Shulk vs Volume 5 Weiss. Speed is equalized and takes place in the Gaur Plains.

Shulk: 9

Weiss Schnee:

Inconclusive:

Shulk R
RWBY4-weiss

Incon probably

It's basically a who shoots first match, Weiss with her dust seals him in Ice or uses a Speed Amp to blitz him, or make a summon which, well, self explanatory

Otherwise, Shulk with OHK or any of his other stuff

He has visions of what happens in the future, and uses it a lot in combat to try to prevent it from happening.

@Ant Weiss' only form of OHK comes from using her summon via oneshotting, but that takes time. Shulk doesn't have any OHK stuff, Idk where Gargoyle got that idea from, but he does have a good AP advantage against her.

Weiss OHK doesnt take time though? And her Dust and Glyphs balance out his AP against her physically.

Do you mean the one called Eater? Its more a power null/negations that cause bleeding, do not sounds like a ohk ability.

@Weekly and Shulk's precognition can help him against her semblance and dust rather easily

It passively gives him visions of the future on what's going to happen. Whether it's something that happens days from now, to even what'll happen in the next split second.

It's out of his control considering it just gives him the vision without any warning, but it happens for like any incoming danger that heads his way.

I see. So is there a chance that it can fail? iirc it doesnt work rapid fire showing him literally every attack his opponent will do?

It hasn't really failed at all. The only way it won't work is if it's an inevitable outcome, like when he was paralyzed by Metal Face and had to watch his girlfriend get killed in front of him despite having a future of that happening.

What ways does he have? Weiss has like 8 different types of attacks ranging from AoE to homing attacks to melee attacks that all freeze the opponent solid

He can make himself faster to avoid the shots, summon forcefields to block any homing shots, or if she tries to do any AOE attacks, he Monado purges Weiss and she geta paralyzed, perception nulled, and power mulled.

She has a speed amp herself, and a better one at that

Monaco purge will work on her aura?

@Gargoyle Monado purge nullifies your abilities. Also Precog + Speed amp = arguably better speed amp.

Shulk's precognition level depends on how far he progresses, the ones he can't control are like super early on. And in canon, the heat of battle allows Shulk to see every move his opponent makes before it happens. There's also Monado Purge which is pretty broken; it's not dodgible, it stuns the opponent, it nulls various abilities including mind reading and precognition and various elemental powers, and it nulls all perception. And Speed amp multiplies Shulk's speed several times over.

I'm not sure if Shulk hax stomps tbh.

@DDM. Could you (get someone to) remake Shulk vs Goku then? Because I'm pretty sure that's a very big factor that got pushed under the rug due to lolUltraInstinct.

DDM gave you that answer already.

@Cal I'm planning on remaking that matchup eventually.

@Cal, we're working on other Xenoblade revisions/upgrades; and we already got a rematch between Chugga's favorite protagonists Shulk in Ness in store. But yeah, I suppose; and to be fair, Shulk could have easily hax stomped Goku with Reality Warping, but that's really OOC for Shulk.

Shulk still has fairly good precognition in that key. It was during his fight with Xord was when it becomes quite good. The only time it was limited to where he had no control was before the Mechon attack on Colony 9. But he does naturally see everything coming in the heat of battle. Though, it's not till his Low 2-C key is when his precognition becomes Omnipresent like Zanza's, but that's off topic.

@Weekly he does have good precognition in this key. He's used it dozens of times before he got his new monado.

And as for exact, it's just a damn good speed amp.
