Ikaros Speed Calc should be Sub-Realitivistic+ to Relativistic

I realized that Ikaros being at mach 24 makes no sense at all. There are a couple reasons. Firstly that's flight speed without Uranus Queen Mode or battle mode, and secondly her feats seem much to fast for them to be merely Mach 24. Thus I revised the page and made a speed calc in order to estimate her battle speed. I used her missiles to do so, also this was before the Pandora upgrade. I've made a link to that calc on the page, if anyone can think of a good reason why it should be higher or lower please tell me.

I'd support changing it to a blanket "massively hypersonic to relativistic," but anything more specific than that would require a lot more reliable evidence than what you supplied on this page, since the time frame is not entirely clear.

If you want to say an author statement was inaccurate, at least use more then an assumed timeframe. Not to metion that her long range missles could be much faster then anything she uses in close combat or her movements.

Well I believe in the anime, the author's statement refered to her pre battlemode form.

Considering that Astraea is Mach 25, it seems pretty unreasonable for Ikaros to be Mach 24 and outfly her literally by a distance of half the Earth's Circumference while bombing her with missiles from the other side of the planet.

I put the missiles at one second, however I did so because the relative positions from before and after of Astraea were about the same on the earth.

Before

After

http://www.********.me/manga/chapter/51376_sora-no-otoshimono-chapter-53/page_16

As you can see their respective positions hadn't really changed, so unless Astraea for some reason suddenly stopped flying for no reason while chasing Ikaros, the missiles had struck her from about half the Earth's Circumferance.

It doesn't make sense for Ikaros to be Mach 24. (If you really want to calculated the timeframe, you can use Astraea's speed of Mach 25 from the page previous and using the distance she traveled over the radian and calculate Ikaros's missile speeds.

Also about her missiles traveling much faster, Chaos was able to dodge them, while Ikaros was able to Dodge Chaos's "Wings".

It should also be noted that, to the best of my knowledge, Sora no Otoshimono uses a lot of visual gags and doesn't always take itself seriously, making the legitimacy of certain feats hard to ascertain. Take for example the page upon which you based your calculation. The presentation of the artstyle seems to suggest that it is meant to be somewhat comical, which casts doubt on how serious the feat is supposed to be taken. Given the obviously comical results on the next page, it's difficult to determine exactly whether this was meant to be a gag feat or a serious one.

There's a lot of feats on this Wiki that have been probably calculated by something similar though.

For example Luffy is supposedly Massive Hypersonic, yet he took like an hour to get from one end of DressRosa to the other. It doesn't make sense to me why someone with such a high speed rating would literally take an hour or two to cross what is at best a 50km island.

It should have taken him literally seconds if he was really Massive Hypersonic. What's more Ikaros travelled to the other side of the Earth in a time frame of a few minutes to five at most (considering the audience didn't leave yet.

Law of Preservation of Fictional Drama or in other words Plot Induced Stupidity.

If every character is really as powerful as they are it's hard to create conflict that doesn't resolve quickly (which is intentionally invoked in One-Punch Man).

That said, I still think Ikaro's feat is legitimate considering the fact that in her Pandora form she obliterated the Ikaros Melan copies with ease before they could react.

Heaven's Lost Property is supposely a Comedy Anime, but it seems to have a lot of elements of battle in it as well. The ending was kind of dissapointing though, there was so much potential just before it, did the author die or something lol?

There could have introduced new angeloids, and began a whole other arc with battle as the center theme. It just seemed like such a waste to me lol.

And Yes Ikaros defeated the Melan Ikaroses each one superior to her pre-evolved form. I believe each Artemis strike from her post evolved form should be at least country level (and that's isn't even appollon)

Yeah, I generally have a problem with dodgy scaling using unreliable feats.

If you can find more and/or better feats (not powerscaling) that supports your conclusion, I wouldn't have any problems with this.

I doubt that Ikaros is actually MHS+. There is a lot of CIS in this one series. Well, it's almost completely ploted around CIS of all Angeloids.

Given that delta kind of just stood around not moving you can not really moving at all you can not get a really reliable timeframe from it.

It was also stated exactly to the feat that it was Mach 22, when she was flying. That was a direct description to teh events happening, so you can hardly say that it didn't apply to the scene. Given that I am actually inclined to say that they were standing around there as long as necessary.

I have to agree with these guys.
