Turnabout Bond: Phoenix Wright vs. James Bond

In a similar vein of my Phoenix fighting a T-Rex thread, I wanted to actually put him up against a fictional character, and I joked about James Bond, so here it is. Phoenix Wright is given access to all of his equipment including evidence, and James Bond, stuck in 9-B, is given a pistol, like how Wright has one, and a simple knife. Speed is equalized, fight takes place at The Daily Planet (where Lois Lane works right?), and it's time to determine who wins and why.

Ok, based of the description i gotta go with Bond. He has access to the Golden Gun which can one shot 9Bs like Jaws. Plus he has the samurai which is an enhanced laswr weapon which he can use perfectly but the grenade launcher. Not to mwntion Bond being an incredibly skilled marksman and spy, who also is insanely good at formulating a strategy and plan of attack, Bond should take this
 
Does the golden gun and samurai make this too unfair? Because I could change it to just basic weaponry instead.

Yeah it kinda does honestly. Maybe give Bond his standard weaponry like his pistol and rifle.

If that's the case I still see Bond taking it. Even if Wright has an AP advantage it's not like that it's not something Bond can't overcome, in fact he does sit constantly across all medias like Jaws. Bond is an incredibly smart fighter like I said and with his training and ability to form a strategy and take out people like 006 (who is as good as Bond in every way) he should be able to beat Phoenix
 
Can't Phoenix's absurd durability do anything to at the very least tire out Bond? I'm not saying that Phoenix is gonna do him in on that alone, I'm just saying it makes things a lot harder. I mean, he got hit by like a 2,000 pound speeding car or something, which is preeeetty impressive durability wise. I think that may or may not tank more damage than Bond can dish out. I saw someone calc it once in a thread. May gotta look at it.

Also now Bond has a pistol like Phoenix. A rifle may be a bit much? Maybe?
 
Oh don't get me wrong it's an incredibly close match. A pistol is a ok. Problem for Wright is that Bond does not give up and really doesn't get tired. He once was shot by a rifle and then made a few hundred feet drop into water and was having 'fun' with a girl soon after. He was once shot several times in the chest and kept fighting. He was once tortured for months and didn't give up. Bond isn't someone who tires out. Wright is incredibly stubborn and this is a very hard match but even with that ridiculous durability for a human being, a shot to the brain will do damage and Bond should be smart enough to do it
 
Fair enough I'm not gonna lie that Phoenix's lack of trianing in...really anything, is a problem for him when going up against a man of Bond's skill, but Phoenix is also like really ******* determined to get things done. This is more of an offhand comment, but the shit he's gone through is hilarious in a way. He's been whipped in court, hit with a damn car and suffered a sprain ankle (even though he was hit on the head?), ingested poison and was fine, fell into a rushing river and only came out with a cold, and like, I mean

Also, like He did this but the wiki won't allow it for some reason because the anime is off limits even for a separate key

either way uh, one for Bond.

and thank you for the compliment. and to be frank I think Phoenix can win quite a few fights thanks to his durability alone.
 
Phoenix Wright is a great character and honestly whoever wins this matchup I'm not upset at all. It's either Bond with high difficulty or Phoenix with high diff. It's a great creative match. Both characters are gritty, determined characters who won't give up. I mean Bond has been shot over 3,000 times it's just insane hahahaha. I think the difference here in my eyes atleast is that Bond is skilled in combat, if Bond can defeat Jaws who can tank train crashes and bullets like nothing with only his Wits. Anyway I personally think Bond due to skill edge
 
Fair enough. Certainly not disagreeing with you on that. Just a big fan of Phoenix so I always gotta root for him.

And I only just got into the series jeez
 
I understand, even if Bill was against Arceus I would root for Bond hahaha. I'll do everything I can to make sure this thread gets attention as well
 
Wright might be getting downgraded in AP soon, which probably means he'll, uh, lose quite easily.

Btw if you just got into the series, I'd 100% recommend the third game (Trials & Tribulations). Probably one of the best in the series. Shame the other two best games in the series never had a western release... (tho you can play a fan translation of one of them, Prosecutor's Path)
