A thing that has existed for ages and that I fear might become another spam trend if we let it happen.

So, we have these profiles listed below that are Composite versions of several characters played by the same actor. Mind you that these characters are utterly unrelated in any way, outside of the actor playing them.

I honestly don't see why they should be allowed, given that we're strict over what gets a composite and what doesn't, on top of these opening the door to any major actor getting composite versions for no reasons.

Really, the only arguments I can see for them is that most of the characters they played are too minor for individual profiles and that people want to see celebrities fight. The former being a weak argument that can be applied to many characters and the latter being literally just a loophole to avoid our "no real-life person profile".

I'd honestly be in favor of deleting them. They blatantly break our composite profile rules.
 
I agree. The individual characters should get profiles but not a composite based on the actor playing their roles.

I think people should just make a profile for whatever character Bruce Lee is playing in that movie instead.
 
@Ryu Pretty much. It might be awkward to have many characters be so similar, but the opposite just doesn't work here.
 
@Matt It's still better than the alternative of making one big profile fusing multiple completely unrelated characters simply due to being similar.

Also, this reasoning could be arguably applied to most action movie heroes, given their status as peak humans.

From my memory, this has happened quite a few times. For characters that people want serious profiles of, but don't quite fit into the rules of the wiki.

Would everyone be more comfortable if they were moved to blog posts instead?

If these types of profiles break our rules, I also think that they should be removed.
 
they aren't really fictional characters or even real life characters either and one indication that their actual selves may not even be 9-C is they still require safety harnesses/stunt doubles to do their scenes. could be one of those memetic thought experiments

and the fact book is nothing but a compilation of internet quotes and memes, "fact book chuck norris" and "meme chuck norris" are the same damn thing except he's been low balled de-NLF'd here just to have other people fight him

Except "fact book Chuck Norris" is based off of an actual piece of published literature that went through a review process.
 
I agree with this as well. InB4 someone makes a composite Arnold Schwarzenegger; when Terminator, Conan, John Matrix, ect are all way different.
 
idk, we could repurpose them into one of the characters they play instead. for instance, ive been thinking of making Chen Zhen and Bruce Lee just happens to have did the very first iteration of him so keep some of his stuff. or make a composite Chen Zhen which even includes Jet Li and Donnie Yen. See, now you can have 3 actors in one being.
 
Aw what they were a thing? I shouldve looked up a certain composite bollywood character or some composite monkey king actors x.x
 
If they are going to be deleted, they will need to be moved to the Joke Battle Wiki so that people can still use them. I really hate it when profiles here get deleted and don't even get moved anywhere, like the Segata Sanshiro page. That still greatly bothers me. I would give him a profile on the Joke wiki if I could still see what his stats were. But I can't.

I don't know if the Fact Book version of Norris should stay here or be moved.
 
they should just create a profile based on the character in the said verse as stated above, doesn't matter if it's the same actor.

that's like me making a Harrison Ford page and including Han Solo and Indiana Jone's feats to him.
 
Yeah, I think we should delete them. This a VS battle, not a joke battle wiki. If we are going to allow a composite version of the actor, then Morgan Freeman would be a god by now.
 
I mean it is a different case than allowing something like composite Morgan Freeman since the characters used are roughly the same in terms of skills, abilities, speed, AP, personality etc (according to Matt at least).

But that being said, the profiles should still not be allowed since they are merging different characters from different fictional verses together, something which the wiki should not encourage.
