The rain is typically assigned to feelings of depression or gloominess, and seems to many a general inconvenience. And no two people likely know this better than our combatants today. One has been followed by the rain all her life, and essentially tortured by people who didn't want to be around her due to this until she found herself in Fairy Tail, and the other lived in the Land HIdden in the Rain, and was a victim of wartime struggles between other lands, and eventually joined the Akatsuki with her friend Nagato to share their pain with the world. Magician or shinobi, which of these two shall come out the victor? Today, we find out!

In the blue corner, we have Juvia Lockser from Fairy Tail, and in the red corner, we have Kona from Naruto.

-This is a battle to the death or incapacitation. No holds barred.
-Neither character are aware of each other beforehand, and there is no prep time. (Which means Konan is restricted on her Kami no Shisha no Jutsu.)

-Neither character are allowed outside help.

-The battle takes place within the Hidden Rain Village, giving Konan the home-court advantage.

-Juvia is in her Post Timeskip form.

-Speed is equalized.

With all this being said, let the debate begin!

How does Juvia's elemental intangibility work? Is there any limitation to it?
 
Borrowing directly from her profile page:

  • Water Body: Allows the user to turn their own physical body into a mass of water, rendering any physical attack useless. However, this spell is rendered useless against Magic that directly targets the user's senses.
 
I read that, I am asking that it has a time limit, able to attack while using Water Body and similar info.

Otherwise, Konan takes this as water is not slow her down and can disperse so compress attacks don't harm her, Iirc Jiraiya's flames couldn't harm her papers. she can change her papers sharpness and hardness, able to fly and difference with and turn her papers into bombs and blow Juvia up without her intangibility as Konan clear ap and dura advantage. Juvia needs good advantages but Konan 95%.

Even with intangibility this either deceive or stomp Konan's favor. What can Juvia do to Konan?

Water Body is thought-based, has no time limit. And yes she can attack while using Water Body. In fact, one of her attacks (Sierra) has her launching herself as a stream of boiling water toward her opponent
 
But remember that she uses Sierra when she is very angry, and isn't really a move she can just use on the spot. And Konan doesn't really try to goad her opponents into getting angry either, so she probably won't be using that here. I know that wasn't your point, but I thought that was something I should point out for the sake of the fight itself.
 
To be honest, I'm not entirely sure. It's probably explained why her paper doesn't grow damp in the rain like normal paper, but that would have to be referred to with someone who's much more knowledgeable about Naruto than I am.

Juvia's Water Body is passive like I said, Konan won't be able to harm her unless Jivia consciously wants to be hit (Why would she?) or she's hit with something similar to Magic Seal Stone or Frozen.

Plus being in the Hidden Rain gives Juvia a HUGE advantage with all the rain and bodies of water around them.
 
Has Juvia survived explosions while her body was just water? Her body can't evaporate from intense heat? Such as from a paper bomb?

Her body is just going to reform. And it's gonna be extremely difficult for Konan to do anything with all the Water around them.
