Naruto: Mid-Tiers Upgrade (8-A to Low 7-C)

Making this for the sake of having a thread before applying these.

I'll make it short.

Currently, the mid-tiers of Naruto, such as the the Jonins, are all "8-A" via powerscaling from two different feats. Itta's 350 tons feat, and Jirobo's casual 500-ton Slamming Palm.

This seems fine from a first glance, but I approved it at the time to act as a placeholder rating. After rethinking this, they should be upgraded to Low 7-C.

The reasons are:

1. High-level Jonins such as Kakashi and Asuma should likely scale above Kid Butterfly Choji (who is Low 7-C) since his best feat is one-shotting Jirobo, something Base Kimimaro, a low jonin-level, could also replicate.

2. The 454 ton feat was performed casually by a guy who is explicitly portrayed as leagues below even the average Jonin. The entire Sound Four together, fighting at their absolute highest power, could barely defeat two tired out Special Jonins. That was a 4v2 against two tired out opponents who are technically not even Jonin level, and they just barely edged it out.

3. The 350 ton feat was performed by a chunin, meaning jonins and Akatsuki-level characters scale heavily above it.

4. Last but not least, I calculated Gaara's sand at Low 7-C a few hours back, so the other reasons were just me strengthening this rating.

4a. Base "Itachi" has a Low 7-C feat that scales directly to Kakashi right on the beginning of Shippuden

Additionally, Akatsukis should be 7-C since Choji's feat is so close to 7-C. This makes way more sense with the power progression, since a character that the databooks describe as sub Tsuchikage level" has a 7-C feat, namely Kitsuchi.

Summary

  • Change all Jonin-level characters to Low 7-C.
Reasoning:´ Powerscaling from Gaara and Choji.

  • Change almost all Akatsukis to 7-C.
Reasoning: They heavily scale above characters who are stronger than Choji, whose feat is just 1 kiloton shy of 7-C. To add to this, a low-Kage level character has a 7-C feat as well.
 
I'll highlight this, although if it gets out of control I'll remove it.

I'm sort of doubtful of regular Jonin scaling to Kakashi, Guy, and Gaara. Kakashi and Guy are explicitly exceptional and Gaara is a Jinchuuruki.
 
The average jonin is hardly comparable to Kakashi and Gai.

Asuma openly admitted considerable inferiority to Hidan, who said he had little combat prowess, and Kurenai was easily dispatched by Itachi in a genjutsu fight.

EDIT: Also, Gai had to use the 5th Gate to defeat Kisame
 
I never implied that standard jounin should scale to elites like Kakashi and Gai.

I said Jounin like them would scale because Kep's post says Jounin = Low 7-C and Akatsuki members = 7-C. I was trying to say certain Jounin would also be 7-C. Part 1 Kakashi would be Low 7-C.

Hebi Sasuke scales to Deidara and Itachi.

By the way, I'm not sure this should be highlighted, because it will turn into something non Naruto fans can't follow. Not sure.
 
Looks good nothing wrong. Just becuse your a Jichuuruki doesnt mean you have control over your power and im pretty sure gaara defeat kimimaro with ease with out the 1 tails. @repp

I agree with that. Part II Kakashi will be 7-C, yes. Gai's base state on Part II will still be Low 7-C since he had to use 5th Gate to defeat Kisame's clone..
 
I'm not so sure about scaling them to that level. The Sound Four aren't exactly weak and I don't see why the average jounin would be above them.
 
They had to team up to defeat two tired out low Jonin-level opponents, and even with a 4v2 they barely edged it out. They are generously Chunin+ at best.

Gaara at this point of the story is high Chunin to low-Jonin level, best case scenario. Temari, who was a chunin at this point, could already beat Tayuya with a single Wind Release attack. Base Kimimaro didn't show anything beyond low-Jonin and Gaara had to do his best to match him; he was actually defeated, and only won because Kimimaro's disease killed him just in time
 
While this is an anime-only comment, Shikamaru does state that each member of the Sound 4 has jonin-level prowess.
 
Wait then who are the people that will scale to the Low 7-C? cause if Kakashi is gonna be 7-C then some people who stronger then Kakashi would have to be upgraded
 
He states that about their base forms. The same forms that had trouble with Neji with the Gentle Fist and Choji with the Spinach Pill. Both of whom are (very generously) Chunin level.

It is contradicted by every feat they have, even with CM2, let alone without it. I hardly think it holds any value, even if you ignore the fact it is non canon to begin with.
 
What makes you say generously Chunin level? Wouldn't they be definitely Chunin level for doing well during the Chunin exams? Especially Neji.

Neji is a fresh Chunin. Base Choji, the one to compete in the exams, is High 8-C. Far below even Sasuke's Katon.

Neji actually edged out CM1 Kidomaru, who is 50 tons. That makes it worse.
 
Again may someone tell me who is going to scale to Low 7-C? and if Kakashi is going to be 7-C then the people who are stronger then Kakashi r gonna need a up grade
 
Everyone who scales above this version of Gaara.

Everyone comparable or stronger than Part II Kakashi is going to be 7-C, yes.
 
the people who are stronger than that 7-C kakashi are only like kage, certain Akatsuki memebers and hokage tbh

Follow-up question, should One-Tail Naruto and CM2 Sasuke scale to Low 7-C? Sasuke's profile says he possibly should scale to Butterfly Choji but his stats don't reflect that.
 
Oh boy....if One-Tail Naruto and CM2 Sasuke scale to Low 7-C....the what does that say for their other key's?
 
Alrighty! when do we start? just clicked to me that we will have to upgrade ALOT of people....so basically we are continuing the revision
 
So, Sai will also be Low 7-C. Sakura destroyed his snakes so she would scale as well. Naruto too.

Didn't Fuuton: Rasengan clash with Kakashi's Rasengan and overpower it? If so, Naruto would be 7-C with that and Rasenshuriken. If it helps, he also cancelled out Kakuzu's combination jutsu with Yamato's help.

BoShippuden Sasuke obviously scales to Team 7.
