So, now, apparently, Jiren has power that transcends time itself (Stated by the angels) Does this mean that's now eligible for Low 2-C, or the higher end of High 3-A? I can provide scans if needed. Add this to the fact that he was considered a power, "unlike any that we've ever faced," by Shin, I think that he just might qualify for Low 2-C, probably also scaling Goku to this level? As far as I know though, the gods might not necessarily scale as well, with the exception of the angels and Grand Priest.

Additionally, a 3-A, possibly High 3-A tier for Hit? Since he was able to slightly damage Jiren and restrain him? (albeit, not for long)

Scans:

(From the official subs, by the way, on CR and Daisuki)

As stated by Vados.
Herewegoagain

I agree with At least 3-A likely High 3-A Hit.

I'm not sure about Jiren though. Probably High end High 3-A.

People were already discussing him being scalable to Fusion Zamasu, IMO, this only fuels that flame. I think it actually might be safe to scale them accordingly at this point.

I think that could be added, too, but the statements definitely seem to support yet another possible upgrade.

Well now, I'm actually really impressed, Dragon Ball of all the shows would state something like that.

I think High 3-A to Possibily Low 2-C (Perhaps being compariable to Infinite Zamasu from Shin statement, and transcending time from Vados statement)

Oh God Beerus is getting left in the dust...

Yea I support the 3-A, possibly High 3-A for Hit.

For Jiren I'd like to hear more input

Argh, dang it! I just made a thread on this! Oh, well. Yeah, I think this very well may mandate an upgrade for Jiren. There was a lot of debate, additionally, as to whether or not Hit is genuinely manipulating time prior to this. Regardless, it's safe to assume that the Time-Skip zones he summons are genuinely manipulating time, but Jiren's power transcends this.

That's... pretty cool.

Indeed. And again, it wasn't featless, this was stated right after Jiren busted Hit's MOST powerful time-based technique, which might put Hit at a possible High 3-A.

I agree. Coupled with Shin's previous statements as well as Whis', this definitely would put Jiren in the domain of Low 2-C. The bigger question is, does Goku scale? Or, is he simply at High 3-A?

At best, this would give Jiren Infinite/Immeasurable speed, which is an enormous outlier given that even Zen'O doesn't have feats on this level.

However, unless he transcends spatial dimensions, no cigar.

Also, no offense, but DB is going to be stomped hard if it gets to Low 2-C.

The thing is, DB was already being considered for Low 2-C, but the feats weren't there to support it. In this case, two statements were directly made that time itself was transcended, after a powerful time-based feat was nullified. In this verse, time = fourth dimensional, so I do think it qualifies him for a Low 2-C upgrade.

And it doesn't matter if it gets stomped; AP is AP.

@Aeyu

The statement could have simply been his resistance to time abilities, not the fourth spatial dimension.

I believe you all are blowing this way out of context out of pure hype.

Dragon Ball already gets stomped hard by a lot of characters for being Tier 2 and 3 with no Hax.

It has nothing to do with hype, it's based off of *two* statements from reliable sources (Angel and a Supreme Kai) We upgraded them based on two statements before from reliable sources, thus, I don't think it's an outlier, coupled with the fact that Low 2-C was already being considered when the High 3-A threads were made.

It won't be an outlier as Goku has fought him and will fight him again, then Vegeta would eventually catch up, and who knows how the gods compare, which mean the angels and Grand Priest would definitely scale as well.

??? How is it not a Tier 2 feat, when Low 2-C has to do with space-time to begin with? Under that logic, Fusion Zamasu's infinite form should only be High 3-A.

Wouldn't transcending time be a speed feat leading to infinite or immeasurable speed?
Which would also lead to Low 2-C

Infinite Zamasu literally possesses the timeline, that's very different from Jiren's very vague statement of transcending time.

We have never treated characters who transcend time as Tier 2.

Hit should definitely get High 3-A. He held a High 3-A being frozen in place, and he put a literal dent in him. At the very least, he should get "3-A. High 3-A with Time Lock".

I don't think it's an outlier, tbh. At this point, we all already know these characters are MFTL+ but the series keeps presenting Jiren as an unbeatable, unstoppable force of nature unlike any other antagonist has been painted as before (yes, I'm including how much Freeza and Beerus were hyped up, too). But aside from it being thematically supported just from Jiren's hype, the technique Hit used was his most powerful time-based attack, and Jiren was locked in it, about to face it head-on... but stopped it with his stare.

An outlier as far as DB feats go? Sure. But definitely not implausible for someone like Jiren, especially given the opponent he was facing.

@Aeyu

No. We have plenty of characters that are able to transcend time or otherwise ignore it who are not Tier 2.

In addition, suddenly giving Jiren Infinite/Immeasurable Speed is still an outlier of immense proportions when other god tiers haven't displayed the same amount of speed.

Jiren is above the gods
