To answer your question:
No, it isn't contradicted, as far as Masked is aware.

Mind you, that's mostly because we know so little about The Creator.
The only interaction we really have is with a "Messenger" it created.
Sarah spent her whole story arc trying to uncover traces of The Creator, and she's dead now.
Also, we're not even sure the Messenger is a reliable source.

Here, the in-game text says it better:

yeah going back through the story cutscenes, i think that's probably the most notable feat we got from the chapter

going through the frames, it looks like she pushed it back a pretty considerable amount. i assume the only tricky things would be figuring out how fast it was moving and how much it weighs(?)

also the ethereal itself is huge. it completely dwarfs both gepetto and nineveh in size

i didn't actually notice this on my initial watch of the cutscene, but going back and rewatching it, i'm only now realizing that it seems like remielle is flying towards bashmu fast enough to create sonic booms

seems pretty blatantly supersonic to me, and i think it's probably the best travel speed feat we've been shown on screen for a character

so from my understanding the "sonic booms" are actually vapor cones and they're not necessarily indicative of her moving at supersonic speeds

but it also seems to suggest that she's at the very least nearing that speed, maybe not necessarily supersonic but i would imagine it'd probably be at least transonic or somewhere in that ballpark. i don't think the animators would emphasize the multiple vapor cones she makes as she's flying towards bashmu if they weren't trying to highlight her speed

which, in that case, my point still stands that it's likely the fastest travel speed feat we've seen from any character in the game excluding the use of vehicles like with the SoC's motorcycles
