That is weird kind of transmutation. Not sure how it would interact with Madoka's body due to the whole walking zombie thing. But assuming it works on her, Madoka has far likely chance to kill him first before he could do that.

Though it's pretty much thought based (or "shakes head" based). The main reason it took time to affect Link was because Link resisted both Country-wide soul Manipulation and a bit of transmutation.

I am 99% sure it is thought-based, and that the mask shaking is indicative of the spell being the mask's power - not Skull Kid's.

Also, when did Link resist Country-Wide Soul Manipulation.
