Earth's population changes from year to year, and as a result, calculations that rely on Earth's population have to change their values over time. So, I was wondering - what is considered the "default" for Earth's population when no other reasonable value is provided? Does it depend on when the series takes place, or when the series was released? Or do we just use the current population as a default?
