Yeah, gonna agree with Weekly here. Intelligence is only a factor if both are comparable and nothing on Bane's page suggests Dura bypass.

It comes down to her Semblance for me. Bane punches Yang a whole bunch, Yang tanks it super hard and then punches Bane once. Bane is now paste on the wall.

Due to the AP gap even if Bane hits her a lot it wont do very much

Unfortunately Bane is on the level of fodder in RWBY, his AP is the equivalent of Grimm that characters weaker than Yang can oneshot

Yang as a whole looks more impressive than Bane, she has the range advantage, her Aura can help her tank Bane's attacks, and her Semblance will allow her to overpower Bane pretty well.
