Xerneas vs Oozaru (Great Ape) Vegeta

I chose Xerneas for the fact it couldn't just loldie Vegeta. Idk if it can lollife itself back to life though so uh..., yeah.

Where does the battle take place? Xerneas's move Nature Power is based on the environment.

That said, does Vegeta have a big enough statistical advantage? Xerneas can just spam Aurora Beam & Moonblast to fight at range, & try to cripple Vegeta's offenses. Horn Leech & Night Slash give it close range options, & Gravity means it can't try to fly away from him. Also, possible defense drops to Vegeta via Earth Power, which could also hinder him having to fight on the ground thanks to Gravity.

Also, Moonblast from Xerneas hurts, since Fairy Aura, & possibly Misty Terrain -might give cover- & Fairy Aura. Maybe Geomancy, too.

Also, are Ki blasts Fighting-type? If Vegeta powers up with Ki, can Xerneas use Psych Up to copy his boosts?

Light Screen can also help it survive ki attacks.

Really, Vegeta's best chance is to try & get into close combat with it & hope it uses... uhh... Close Combat. Since he can dodge, parry, etc. & Xerneas's defenses will drop. But Vegeta wouldn't know that.

Take Down (damages Xerneas a little too if it hits), Giga Impact (recharge after use), & Outage (confused after use.).

So yeah. Vegeta has to hope a High intelligence doesn't hit him with the life draining Horn Leech, doesn't get lucky stat drops off on him, nor set up its stat amping, and that said foe uses some of its worst moves -which are mostly close combat- while fighting something with more flexible range, which may resist his ki & martial arts, can force him to the ground with Gravity, copy his stat boosts, temporarily halve non-physical damage via Light Screen....

Yep. Hope Xerneas just uses a few of its bad moves, which are mostly up close.

....That or hope Xerneas just has a brain aneurysm & spams Heal Pulse while the alien monkey royalty goes after a 5-finger-discount on some of the fanciest deer meat in all the multiverses. Bet the Planet Trade Federation will love that!

But yeah, I'm voting for Xerneas, lol. Unless Vegeta has a BIG statistical advantage, I don't see him having good chances here.

Vote counted. But to answer some of your questions:

Vegeta at this point is well above Piccolo's feat of 69.69 Zettatons (lol), which is how a shit ton of characters even got planet level in the first place.

And, Xerneas is superior to Zygarde..., who's near death caused a 700 Zettaton event...

Maybe I should close this...

I think it's just barely not an AP stomp anymore, since Oozaru Vegeta should be at least 278.76 Zettatons to Xerneas' 700+

Xerneas being Superior to Zygarde causing a 700+ Zettaton event.... Does that rating for Xerneas consider Xerneas to have Fairy Aura active?

Because if that's without Fairy Aura, that's 1.5 times power to its Fairy-type moves. Misty Terrain can also power them up.

And Geomancy, after what the games have as 1 turn of charging, then another turn to execute, Xerneas gets +2 to both its Special stats & Speed (Lol, Speed Equalized.). By game mechanics, unless stats are in the negatives, (Fairy Aura & Misty Terrain power up moves.) +1 to a stat is 50%.

Meaning, in game mechanics Xerneas's Sp. Atk & Sp. Def would go up by 100%; They'd be at 200% of their normal.

If the same math holds true in a VsBattle, that would mean after a little delay to use Geomancy, Xerneas is hitting at double power with any non-physical move, & is at double durability against any non-physical move.

Similarly, Fairy Aura & Misty Terrain amp Fairy-type moves (Moonblast, possibly Nature Power depending on arena.) by 1.5 times each.

Geomancy plus any non-physical means after a delay to charge up, most any move means Xerneas HURTS Vegeta. Fairy Aura/Misty Terrain make mostly just Moonblast hurt a lot, too, but not quite as much.

Presumably, if Vegeta is vastly above 69.69 Zettatons & goes 10 times as Oozaru, he might have a shot. If he's even twice 69.69 Zettatons, then a 10 times multiplier could put him at about 1400.

Not to mention, Geomancy or not, Xerneas still won't be much stronger against physical offense; It's best defense is hoping they count as Fighting-type. Geomancy doesn't raise physical defense.

Really a lot of this depends on how much stronger than Piccolo's feat.

Oozaru Vegeta is 10 times stronger >>>>> Vegeta > Goku with Kaioken times two > Goku = Nappa (who could stomp the z warriors) >> Piccolo (Strongest Z warrior) > One z warrior (could stomp Raditz) >> Full power Raditz >> A sample of Raditz power >> Piccolo is 69 Zettatons

Except that:

1. Xerneas can't amp its physical defense, & its only way to drop Vegeta's physical offense is a 10% chance on Aurora Beam.

2. To double its stats, Xerneas has to spend extra time, compared to say, Swords Dance/Nasty Plot/Amnesia, etc.; In game mechanics, AFAIK, Geomancy is a 2-turn charge move, so it's presumably slower.

3. If we assume similar game mechanic limitations apply to Pokemon, stats can only reach a positive of +6. As each + beyond 0 is 50%, this is a max of +300%. Meaning at most, Xerneas can get to 4 times its usual Sp. Atk & Sp. Def (& speed, with Xerneas.)

4. Xerneas still has to fight while getting these stat amps.

5. The move Close Combat lowers Xerneas's Physical & Special Defense on use, hindering Geomancy's utility.

6. If Xerneas uses Psych Up, which copies "stat changes" , but by game mechanics, copies stat levels, this would mean any & all of Vegeta's level of modifications from his stats are copied. Good, bad, or non-existent. So if Vegeta's amped his AP by 50% from his default, Xerneas's own same kind of AP goes to 50% of its default, for example. (I don't know if this would copy Oozaru's x10.)

On the bright side, it can use Light Screen to halve non-physical/Special damage, Horn Leech to drain HP in close combat based on how much damage HL deals, Fairy Aura is a constant 1.5* multiplier to the power of its Fairy-type attacks. (Also, I was mistaken, Misty Terrain doesn't amp Fairy-type attacks.)

Xerneas's problem here is many of its close combat moves (Take Down, Close Combat, Giga Impact, Outrage.) are bad, & it can't really uses its Statistics Manipulation to augment its CC.

In theory, though, Xerneas could win via a battle of range.

But say Vegeta in base is 10 times stronger than Piccolo & 10 times stronger as an Oozaru. 69.69 Zettatons times 10, 696.9, then that times 10 is 6,969 Zettatons.

Xerneas, at 700 quadrupled, then getting 1.5* from Fairy Aura is only 4,200. 'course, it's over 700, but it needs to be around 1150 to 1175 Zetta before max Geomancy & Fairy Aura to actually match up if base Vegeta is 10 times stronger than Piccolo and Oozaru Vegeta is 10 times stronger than that.

Still, if it is indeed that big a difference (Oozaru Vegeta roughly 166% of Xerneas's max power?)....

That depends.

If we use the low-end for Xerneas' calc, yes.

The high-end, however, is all the way up at 2.8 Tenatona.

Oldish post, but I feel like Imaginym isn't considering the fact that Vegeta is an infamous ki-spammer and has plenty of options to fight at range as an Oozaru (everything from all of his usual techniques he uses in his base form to throwing giant boulders), as well as full flight.

Remember, Vegeta can control his transformation perfectly.
