This came up discussing this particular ability of Kamisato Kakeru. To those that don't follow Toaru, World Rejecter (WR from now on) is an unique ability residing on his right hand that allows him to erase its target, be it a being, power or an inanimate object by banish/exile/BFR to unused portions of the world. It has some complicated conditions to be used that I won't go into, but suffice to say it's a pretty powerful ability/hax when those are fulfileld. A good description the novel gives is that, like Imagine Breaker does for Kamijou Touma, WR makes Kamisato Kakeru a joker that doesn't play by the same rules everyone else in the verse is using.
With it Kakeru has banished 5+ weakened True Gremlin Magic Gods (This being his first real battle using WR), erased Imagine Breaker and erased the attacks from Kihara Noukan's Anti-Art Attachment Suit, a special set of weapons that derive and draw their power from a connection to Aleister Crowley. All of these were done pretty easily, the last one was done while he was heavily injured. According to him, if the conditions of use are right, he can even erase the sun or a black hole (NT14 Chapter 2 Part 13):
"I can guarantee you it brings no pain. I've never tried it on myself, but based on those who have been kept alive for a bit, hope for a new world fills their heart. It can't fail. As long as the conditions are met, it can erase even the sun or a black hole in a single blow. And it does not leave a gruesome corpse. No one will have to discover you. And while I can't tell you what lies on 'the other side', I can at least tell you there's something there. Death does not take away everything and erase every last trace of you."
So as of now WR sits at Tier 4-C from that statement, though it ignores conventional durability by BFR. Thing is, there's one more feat that I'm not sure how to take. During his first appearance, Nephthys saw him exile Niang-Niang and decided to use her Magic God power to crush him (because of unrelated circumstances, unlike other Magic Gods she still had a one-use Phase shift left). Kakeru casually crushed her phase, and the narration states that he can even reject and erase a Magic God at full power. (NT13 Epilogue):
That made Nephthys different from the other Magic Gods. The others had thoroughly honed their powers as an individual, but she had specialized her power as something that could be separated, split apart, cut away, and swapped out.
In other words, she held it in reserve.
Even after being hit by Aleister's weakening spell, she still had enough power to swap out the phase just once.
(Embed it.)
She bit her lip while aware she was at the disadvantage even as a god.
(Embed the phase, change the world, and use that power to crush-…)
The voice of her heart was cut off.
She heard a tremendous explosion of sound and her phase was crushed.
"Wha-?"
It was squeezed and crushed.
"…Ah…?"
To a third party, it may have looked like the entire scene wavered like a mirage, but this was something else entirely. That did not explain anything, but it was the only way of expressing it. Nephthys froze in place when she saw it and the boy simply clenched his right hand and opened it once more. It almost looked like he was giving her a greeting.
In other words, he could reject and kill even a Magic God using her full power.
So I brought this up in the Toaru general thread since it seems far better than Tier 4-C, but me and DontTalk can't decide on how to put this on his page. So the options I came up are:
a) Treat the phase crushing as an outlier and disregard it, which IMO seems wrong because there's a clear statemen made with the feat: In other words, he could reject and kill even a Magic God using her full power. Also, so far no contradiction on this level of power/feat, he also erased/banished weapons powered by Aleister Crowley one novel later, though those appear to be hax rather than AP.
b) Put WR as "Unknown" with a list of feats which would include the phase crushing, banishing the weakened magic gods, IB and Anti-Art.Attachment.
c) Put WR as "affects things up to Universe level or Universe level+ AP/Durability".
Personally I'm leaning towards c), and DontTalk is also in favor of that option.
