Witch Hunter - Ap Scaling

This will be going over the ap scaling and use of multipliers within the series. I am making this to get the scaling out the way so it won't be done later and can be referenced later on. Every calc mentioned here can also be found on the Witch Hunter page


Note: I’ll be using the letters DE to refer to the Desert Eagle.

7-C+

Taras creates a wide hole in Bairong which was calced to 86.88 Kilotons. Tasha, alongside Kuga and Warz, are among the best of the Black Class with Xing stating the only one who could stop them from fighting is Vihyungrang, so they would scale above Taras.

7-A+

So following the above scaling, Tasha’s regular guns are 7-C+, his de is then stated to fire with the same amount of power as 10,000 magic bullets at once meaning it is 10,000x more powerful than his regular guns which makes the de 868.83 Megatons. Since multipliers require explantation, I’ll present reasons for why this multiplier should be used.

On the Multiplier page it says “However, a good statement alone is not enough to get a high multiplier accepted. The amount of extra evidence one has to provide to get larger multipliers accepted is proportional to the size of the multiplier. For lower multipliers, like things much less than times 100, evidence can take the form of a clear increase in combat strength against priorly equal or superior opponents. For higher multipliers, like times 100 and above, the importance of stronger evidence, such as feats displaying power of a similar magnitude as the value the multiplier points to or the multipliers importance to the plot of the story, and a higher amount of evidence becomes increasingly necessary.”

1. The de destroys Tasha’s defensive cloak and that if he were to be hit head on by it he would have been in the same state as the cloak meaning he’d have died by it.

2. Varete is a high tier character in the verse with her stacking up to some of the strongest witches like East and Edea. She says that the gun is impressive and later on estimates Tasha to be White Class, an entire level above himself. Considering the gun is using mana and witches can sense mana it’s not absurd for her to comprehend the power of it.

3. Next regarding the importance to the plot; for starters, the mana needed to actually create the bullets in the magic guns could only be done by Edea from Eclipse’s knowledge, Eclipse being a Black Class witch who has been at the organization for years and knows a lot about Edea, as most do. This would mean other high ranked White Classes such as Agnesse and Tania don’t have Edea’s amount of mana to create the seemingly endless supply of mana bullets that the dimensional gallery can. The dimensional gallery is a storage device which takes mana from Edea, mana that is by her own words “your master’s magic capacity far exceeds your imagination” in reference to Tasha worrying about using the mana carelessly which heavily implies her mana capacity is immense enough to support the supply of mana within the pouch. There is also the fact of Edea being mostly seen as a monster to even other White Classes like Choha, who is powerful in their own right.

4. I noticed that an example for higher multipliers listed is from GOH, where it is noted that no contractions exist for it, and it is only applied to the God Tiers. This is the same for the de, no one who scales to Base Tasha also scales to the de, they are either above him or get one shot by the de. Examples such as Varete, she scales above him so it being ineffectual against her isn’t an anti-feat. Against Warz, he outright says the gun isn’t worthy of number 1 in Black Class and scales above Tasha so it isn’t an anti-feat. In his Song of Moirai form, Sabrina admits the gun’s power is “out of this world” implying how vastly above her it is. The fourth time he uses it, he kills her and her greatest attack.

6-C

This is from a simple stated 10x stronger statement by Merlin, an exceptionally smart and knowledgeable mana user who has over 500 years worth of experience to make such a claim for Tasha’s growth from training. Merlin basically tells Tasha that with his training in the controlling of mana, Tasha can get 10x stronger and become probably stronger than a White Class 8.68 Gigatons. A month later after training with Ryuhwan and controlling his mana, he ends up being stated to be on a white class level by Tania, a white class herself as well as states that Warz, who scales above the de, now is weaker than Tasha Post Ryuhwan Training.

Low 6-B

This comes from another multiplier for Tasha’s Spas-12 Custom. Just like the scaling with the de, this would make Tasha 120x more powerful or 1.04 Teratons than his previous self which is 8.68 Gigatons. The Spas-12 compresses and launches 120x the normal amount of mana a regular magic gun does. Something that DontTalkDT mentions on his thread for multipliers standards clarification is another criteria, that being "3. The multipliers value is justified through a mechanism. E.g. a character gets 200 times stronger due to absorbing 200 clones of itself." In this instance, the gun compresses a minimum of 12 rounds to a maximum of 120 rounds when using a bullet capable of compressing ordinary mana. So this essentially combines 120 rounds into one bullet which is in essence another mechanism similar to absorbing 200 clones. Furthermore, Sabrina increased her mana in her vines by 40x to combat against Tasha's new power and in response Tasha used the Spas-12 Custom and after using it on Sabrina, he completely obliterates Sabrina's vines and herself.

6-B

The few characters that scale this high are:
Surtr's flame form
Abyss
North with her Hat restored
West
South
Possibly Mordred.

The basis is supporters can produce 10x more powerful magic. The main two supporters are Surtr and Abyss, their masters East and Varete scale already to Low 6-B making the one's named 10.4 Teratons like West or South.

Seeing that this series uses multipliers so much, I am inclined to believe that they are actually legitimate, on top of the evidence provided.

The statements seem pretty legitimate. Clear, cut, and simple.

I would like to add another good piece of evidence that multipliers in the verse generally tend to be pretty common as even mana can make weapons hundreds of times stronger
