The user Area Rea, who was banned a while ago for vandalizing categories in pages, has recently been freed from their ban and immediately started doing the same they were doing before. In doing this, they undid Ant's edits and ignored the previous warnings that got them originally banned. I wasn't sure if this should go to the Rule Violation Report Thread, but given that they're vandalizing, I just posted it here.

Banned for one month, banned for 6 months, I think time to ban them for a year minimum if he never learned before hand.

Well, from what I can see, this time they simply seems to remove moral categories from some monsters who are far too dumb to be meaningfully categorised in the morality area, so I think that we should wait and see before banning them this time, but I am open for other interpretations.

They have also deleted Categories from Shin Godzilla's page like "Primary Antagonists" despite being the first sentence literally stating he's the main antagonist of his film, are we sure we can trust this user with these kind of changes?

You are probably correct. Some of the changes he made seem harmless and sensible and others unreliable and stupid.
Would somebody here be willing to investigate Area's most recent revisions one by one, and make corrections when necessary?
Also, should we ban Area again, or give a very strict final warning?

Area Rea seems like has an obsession with removing the "Antagonists" and "Protagonists" categories from pages where they apply, especially on kaiju-related stuff. I think that he's had more than enough warnings up to this point, and he hasn't acknowledged his actions or shown regret at all. To put things into perspective, look at how many pages he has edited since his ban was lifted.

That Moron does make a good point, they may be minor edits. But he does it a lot; and there is a saying that a giant collection of minor violations can eventually stack together to become a major issue. It's still the type of thing he should be discussing on forum before removing, and we do need to show some degree of security to show editing pages or removing important content from pages without permission is against rules. While I could tolerate one more final warning, the repeated pattern of still doing it despite the warnings and temporary bans is still a problematic pattern. And at least a ban from page editing seems warranted, he could still chat on message walls of course even if he probably wouldn't.

Probably not the best place to ask, but I remember I once advocated for removing and renaming certain categories, like Male Characters to Males. I really don't think Primary Protagonists/Antagonists mean much when it comes to storylines, considering we already have Protagonists and Antagonists as categories.

Just adding to what Area Rea did, they also removed morality categories from two pages who have Average intelligence. This means that they are smart enough to be good or evil, and aren't just animals. They also continued to undo Ant's edits.

Since Area relentlessly kept doing whatever they wanted despite repeated staff instructions, I felt like I had no choice except give them a permanent ban to put a stop to it, but allowed them to continue to communicate via their message wall, so they can hopefully work out a less extreme solution with our staff members if they wish to.

This was actually likely my mistake. It seems like some parts of the old DC Cinematic Universe were integrated into the new DC Universe continuity.

I applied a 6 months ban. The tier change was extreme, but may have been due to a misunderstanding about Prime scaling from The Hands of Creation.
