This is not a CTR (unless future comments suggest otherwise) this is just my take on why Elemental Regen is not the same as Elemental Reformation via Elemental Intangibility. As this wikis’ standards seems to make it out that the two are interchangeable, why I believe that not to be the case.
Where the former is where the users actually suffers physical damage ad would need their elements to regenerate or heal (Kuzan with his leg, Ur with her Leg, Katara while not with on herself with Water Bending, Guardians with Solar Light).
Elemental intangibility is simply that, turning their bodies into elements in order to avoid damage, let their bodies crumble into their elements so that they can reform from preexisting elements back to their original forms.

- Even on it’s official definition Regeneration means to form new tissue on the body to regenerate or heal. That would imply that anyone who attacks them automatically has atomic/molecular destruction and forces them to generate new parts of the body via elements.
