In the Dragon's Dogma Official Design Works book, the Seneschal's Realm, also titled as "The Multiple Realms of the Seneschal", is has a description which states: "A space that exist outside of time, sandwiched between dark heavy clouds, or a realm where notions like up and down have no meaning.From pitch blackness to blinding whiteness, everything about this realm is within the control of The Seneschal. Unbound by the laws of physics or even common sense, sunlight can shine through any part of the clouds and lightning upwards from below."
