In this Universe, a Soul is considered conceptual in nature and defines existence. Not only for individuals, but the very world that they inhabit. Souls are also infused with a substance that is stated to Transcend time. However these souls are also stated to be both everything and nothing, with beings who exist purely as such simultaneously exist and don't exist.
 
I don't see much for souls other than NEP Nature Type 3. And, in this case, souls exist conceptually. So the soul manipulations etc. that would be effective on them have to be on that level.
