If a character has the ability to turn something that would very clearly be lethal (like punching a hole in your chest, for example) into something nonlethal, what ability would that give?
What if it extends to any attack? As in, any attack a character throws out can be made lethal or nonlethal at will regardless of the actual effects of the attack.
It heavily depends on context, but can be either probably or statistics manip - or can even be transmutation - an extremely advanced version of it, anyway. Or reality warping
Sure.

"Normally you'd die. But it's a Spell Card, so you don't die."
Spell cards apparently have the ability to make lethal attacks nonlethal, consistent with how it limits other techniques (like Fantasy Nature), though a spell card user can choose to make their attacks lethal anyways.
The 'real lucky' bit is kinda meant as a joke in this context, since the entire thing is presented as a horoscope where everything kills you yet is still considered 'lucky', so I wouldn't really use that as a justification for probability manip. At least, I assume that's where you're getting it from.
I mean, I don't think it makes sense to say that supernatural willpower is what's happening here, because the target isn't willing themselves to survive or anything. It's the spell card user altering the nature of their attack.
I'm willing to accept probability manip however though tbh I always thought it'd be law manip
Pretty sure this is just Power Modification since you're just changing the properties of an attack to have a different application/effect. Unless I'm missing something?
