That is of course assuming that Taiyo can/will hit Tsuna's body, as Tsuna's flames can also block
Lightning Flames which have the properties of real electricity. Tsuna's
Hyper Intuition allows him to read the lightest and minimum movements made by the human muscles which allows him to predict one's movements, so I'd say they're pretty even in terms of perception.
Do Tsuna's flames function as a means of improving the durability of Tsuna's body itself or no? Since Tsuna doesn't have resistance to electricity via Flames or damage reduction via flames. Wouldn't then Tsuna just get cut as if it is a normal sword? If so thats still an injury Tsuna will have to push through for the entire rest of the battle while Taiyo will regen through most of the things Tsuna can do to him besides being petrified himself.
While Tsuna's intuition is impressive, Taiyo's prediction allows him to fight against enemies who severely out speed and even perception blitz him. Has fought Prediction users such as Kyoichiro Yozakura, and after the timeskip became his equal, when Kyoichiro could skill stomp his pre timeskip self,
who has prediction like this with Taiyo also outscaling Momo Yozakura and base Shion Yozakura at this point. And Taiyo has that on top of his perception enhancement, instinctive action and his stepping on flowers. So I'd actually claim Taiyo is going to have a slight edge here. Since this is another win condition for Taiyo that only needs one good hit in to work.
Reading from the Hyper intuition description it does not work on objects/things that are not alive. So Tsuna would need to actually see and dodge projectiles if he's not actually seeing Taiyo launch one?
Edit:
Not relevant to the matchup, but lightning flames? and it has the highest durability, and it's called hardening. Lmao the Yozakura author must've been a major reborn fan having Taiyo be a lightning user with durability amps
Actually I was only talking about the boost that he gets through his absorption. The boost that Tsuna's Accelerated Development gives was shown to be fairly significant as in his fight against Mukuro he was able to overpower the latter even after he enhanced strength.
Oh I see, Taiyo will have to win quickly then
Even assuming that sleeping fumes would become poisonous upon interacting with Tsuna's flames I think it's safe to say that they would still get blown away by the force of either of the two's attacks so I don't think it's really practical in this fight.
I don't think that's a good idea for Taiyo to try and fight Tsuna in mid-air as 1)Tsuna has more experience in that kind of combat, and 2) It doesn't seem like Taiyo can use his speed boost while he's in flight,
I think normally they're more like shields, but he was also shown to have an omnidirectional barrier in his fight with Byakuran so it could go either way.
They could get blown away by their respective attacks but I wouldn't say this is a guarantee of any kind, If Taiyo for example dropped gas at the same moment he's forcing Tsuna to dodge and parry blows from him Tsuna could start losing strength from sleepiness from a breath or two even if its still dispersing. At such a point he is a sitting duck. This still excludes the syringes he has which causes paralysis, a muscle relaxant knife or Momo’s bullet which induces power null. So yeah.
He actually sorta can use his speed boost in an air battle. He just needs the slightest platform to jump off of (He could dash off of Kyoichiro's steel spider wires which are obscenely thin and sharp). The location being SBA, aka central park means he could stepping on flowers jump off a tree branch really easily, using Yae's blasts for side ways dodges. Tsuna may be more of an air fighter. Taiyo is able to do basically all of his hand to hand and swordsmanship whether he's in free fall, an anti gravity environment or he's propelling himself with Yae. Doesn't seem to impossible for Taiyo to even just briefly grab him and toss him towards the ground to force him into a lower position thanks to his higher lifting strength.
If he mostly uses em like shields then it's not too much of an issue for Taiyo unless Tsuna feels pressured enough to make a bubble for himself, but relative AP means Taiyo's gonna break through regardless with enough hits (unless I am wrong and his barriers have a decent amount of upscaling).
Tsuna's Extrasensory Perception also comes from his Hyper Intuition which says this-" Allows the user to predict upcoming dangers, even if the user doesn't realize what the danger actually is"- so it doesn't seem to be the same thing as what Taiyo is used to dealing with. I'm not exactly sure what the maximum range of Tsuna's detection is, but I think the minimum range would more or less Hundereds of Meters. With that said, I'd say Tsuna could probably deal with Taiyo's sneak attacks.
I see, so Taiyo can hide from him, but whenever he actually goes for an attack then he'll be detected (like danger sense from MHA ig).
So the fight will have to be pretty conventional.
Tsuna has no way of getting around how Taiyo can use all of his extra sensory on him like reading his intent and always knowing his location whether he's looking at Tsuna or not, but that's not the biggest deal
So far what I’m getting from the matchup is that Tsuna has to avoid letting himself get touched (avoiding to even physically block or opting for force fields often) by anything Taiyo has that’s not Taiyo’s conventional martial arts. And Taiyo could win in character very early in the fight. While Tsuna could start winning or win if the match drags out and he can never get tagged. Tsuna going into the air can help a lot, but it’s not foolproof. Tsuna can instantly win if Taiyo grips him and tries choking him out or whatever. Although Taiyo is likely poisoning or sleep inducing him in that scenario and not giving him space to petrify him there’s still a chance Taiyo just gets petrified trying that. So a win can like that for Taiyo is risky.
