Using LS instead of AP to attack?

Can Lifting Strength be used instead of Attack Potency to damage opponent? Not just for immobilizing opponent or throwing him far away, but directly damaging him. Such as joint locks, gouging organs, choking, or even tearing opponent apart.

So I've seen from other threads from staff members, if there is a huge AP to Durability gap, the person with the huge LS gap can only pin/throw their opponent.

Example: Character A is 8-B (80 Tons of TNT) but with class G LS while character B is Low 7-C (2000 Tons of TNT) but with class 50 LS. Character A LS would not allow them to crush/tear Character B's bones due to the vast AP-Durability Gap. However, if character C was instead 8-A (200 Tons of TNT) and Class 50 LS, even if with the slight AP-Durability gap of 2.5x, it is close enough for character A to crush/tear character C's bones with the massive LS gap.

Though the above is assuming relative speed, from what I could grasp (I can link some other threads too), that seems to be the opinion on LS in battles where the AP is close enough. The example is how I understood it.

They could hold an opponent of superior Dura in an impotent position using a joint lock, but if the character with superior LS lacks the AP to meaningfully damage the opponent, they can't break their limbs. They can't crush the opponent's windpipe as they lack the AP to directly damage them, but could feasibly kill them with a rear naked choke as they do have the LS to keep squeezing until the inferior LS of their opponent's neck muscles gives out and they can apply the requisite pressure to reduce blood flow to the brain to a trickle
