Reason I do it is cause how soul crushing it is and how it made me feel. I had cover letters, but even a generic one just explaining your background can really help. I wish you the best of luck in your job search <3.

Varies alot, how badly do they need to hire someone and how often checking apps. Alot of places maybe will only meet x day to discuss new candidates each week. So that's why might take a week. If I had to make sweeping generalizations

This hits close cause I just applied for my first job, they send me an email asking some questions, I answer and then they just haven't responded for a whole week despite answering within a few hours the first time. Like assuming I got rejected why not just tell me that? Why keep me in the dark constantly checking my emails incase they've answered

As someone who has his work situation figured out years ago and doesn't have to fear any form of downsizing even with the rise of AI, good look out there. Like dating, I can't imagine entering the market in this day and age, with every employer wanting qualified and experienced workers but none of them willing to raise the youth to that level
